The Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is launching a tender to identify a qualified firm to design and develop an online strategic information platform focused on cocoa and chocolate value chains. The platform will support the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) and its member countries in conducting systematic analysis and foresight simulations on the sector’s economic, social, and environmental dynamics. By integrating data on product flows, prices, costs, and value distribution, the platform shall provide robust analytical tools and scenario-based projections. This will enable policymakers and value chain stakeholders to anticipate risks, inform strategic decisions, and promote a more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive cocoa sector. The assignment includes the development of a methodological framework and a user-friendly platform, to be created in close collaboration with ICCO and designed for autonomous use in supporting policy dialogue and strategic planning.

The solution will be used by multiple teams and offices across different geographic locations, necessitating a scalable, user-friendly, and globally accessible system.
