You are invited to submit a fixed price tender for the replacement of the whole heating system as designed by McCann and Partners for the Council at Newbridge Comprehensive School. The scope of the project is fully described in Appendix 1 and as detailed on the McCann and Partners documentation in summary the scope is: The work involved under this fixed price engineering main contract shall entail the following works:- - Removing and disposing of all the existing heating distribution system within the school and the mains to the boiler house. - The work shall be phased over the next three summer vacations and the contractor shall be responsible for the phasing of the works which shall allow the installation of the new heating system whilst allowing the school to continue its normal operation outside of the school summer holidays. The contractor shall phase the works to allow: a) The Council to expend its allocated budgets for the works over the next three financial years. Summer 2026 20% of Total Cost. Summer 2027 55% of Total Cost. Summer 2028 25% of Total cost b) Areas which cannot be completed in the first and second year will be engineered to maintain adequate heating services until the outstanding works can be completed. - The contractor shall submit with his tender a detailed phasing programme which shall clearly detail the areas he intends to work in each year of the three summer holiday phases. The contractor must clearly describe how he shall maintain services in other parts of the school to ensure adequate heating throughout the school while the work proceeds. - All necessary draining filling and venting of the whole school system shall be carried out including the recommissioning of all circulatory heating system within the school. - It is envisaged that this work shall be carried out within the school’s summer vacations in 2026, 2027 and 2028.
