Norway – Wide area network services – Market dialogue for the procurement of WAN Services for Norway's Foreign Service Missions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites potential suppliers to a market dialogue prior to the planned procurement of WAN for Norway ́s foreign stations. The objective of the market dialogue is to examine what possibilities exist in the market in addition to receiving input on what we ought to focus on in the coming procurement. We particularly encourage tenderers to give feedback on what can be seen as exclusive, competitive and/or price driven in a coming procurement. The current agreement for WAN services expires in 2028. A new procurement process must therefore be initiated to ensure that a new contract is in place and that new connections are implemented before the existing agreement expires. The foreign stations currently mainly use local WAN connections. Some locations use satellite services as the primary connection due to local infrastructure conditions and/or geographical location. Satellite services are generally used as secondary connections and are also expected to be in the future. SAT services are subject to a separate market dialogue and tenderers are encouraged to respond to this if the service can be provided.
