Request For Proposal - In-Person Citizenship Test
Department of Internal Affairs
The Department of Internal Affairs – Te Tari Taiwhenua has released a Request for Proposal for the design, implementation and delivery of an in-person citizenship testing service. This supports an operational change to require most applicants for citizenship by grant to demonstrate their knowledge of the responsibilities and privileges of New Zealand citizenship through a controlled, in-person test. The service will need to provide confidence in the identity of the test-taker, maintain the integrity of test conditions and results, support fair and accessible testing experiences and provide New Zealand-wide coverage. A supplier briefing is planned for this RFP. The date, time, and joining instructions will be advised through a notice or addendum to this listing, so please monitor the listing for further updates. Please confirm your intent to respond to this Request For Proposal by using the tenders@dia.govt.nz email address by the 31 July 2026.
