It is a requirement for Nelson City Council under section 31(1)(d) of the Resource Management Act 1991 (the RMA) (statutory requirement) to provide noise control services that involve controlling the emission of noise and the mitigation of the effects of noise. A major component of this function is the control of excessive noise. Council is looking for a competent and experienced supplier to deliver noise control services in accordance with the Resource Management Act (RMA) 1991, Excessive Noise, Section 326-329.
