CWTP Wastewater Mesophilic Digester 1 Emptying and Cleaning

The purpose of this RFT is to invite Tenderers to submit their Tenders for the emptying and cleaning of Digester No. 1 at Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant (CWTP). The objective of this RFT process is to obtain sufficiently detailed information from Tenderers about their respective organisations and their ability to provide the Works. This enables the Council to select and appoint a Contractor to provide the Works. The Works for this RFT shall include, but are not limited to: • Carry out emptying and internal cleaning of Digester No. 1 at the Christchurch Wastewater Treatment Plant (CWTP). The purpose of the cleaning is to remove all solid biomass, sand and other insoluble permanent material that has been deposited within the digesters since it was last cleaned in 2012 so that condition assessments can be performed. • Once emptied and cleaned, Digester No. 1 will be subject to a range of internal condition assessments. Such assessments as EXCLUDED from the scope of this contract.
