D500 Whanganui Tactical Store Extension

NZ Police are seeking proposals from main contractors who have the capacity, capability, and experience required to deliver the construction and fit-out woks for the extension to the existing Tactical Storeroom and existing Muster Room at Whanganui Police Station. The main purpose of this work is to increase the security compliance and accommodate the increase in staff numbers and tactical equipment. These works will be undertaken in a live operational and therefore experience of operating in live environment is essential. These works will be carried out over 2-month period from January to March 2027. The scope of Works for the Main Contractor will be fully documented in the tender document, however, will include the following activities: • Temporary relocation of tactical and office equipment prior to demolition works • Demolition of an existing wall in the Tactical Storeroom and removal of existing joinery • Demolition of existing joinery in the Muster Room • Installation commissioning of electronic security components (including access control and CCTV) • Installation of racks, data outlet, power points and Wireless Access Point (WAP) and port assignment so that the Operational Asset Management (OAMS) • Coordination with ICT, FF&E and Security suppliers • Provide As-Built Drawings and Certificate Practical Completion Respondents must meet the mandatory preconditions noted in the RFP.
