PROCUREMENT FOR RELOCATION OF FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTION OF VMC - MAIN BUILDING

Relocation of Fire Department Connection of VMC - Main Building Scope of Works: 1. Site inspection and preparation: * Conduct a site inspection to verify the existing FDC location, fire protection system arrangement and proposed new location. * Confirm accessibility for fire department operations and compliance with applicable fire code requirements. * Protect existing finishes, equipment and adjacent installations during the work. * Site inspection certificate to be signed by EFMS Department 2. Existing Fire Department Connection Removal *Isolate the affected fire protection piping in coordination with the Building Engineer. *Drain the affected section as required. * Carefully dismantle and remove the existing FDC, associated fittings, piping supports and accessories. * Cap or temporarily secure existing piping as necessary during the relocation works. 3. New Location of FDC * Provide and install a new location of FDC at the approved location. * Provide new fire protection piping, fittings, valves, reducers, coupling and other required accessories. * Install the FDC at the required height and orientation, with adequate clearance for fire department connection. * Application of primer and international red paint *Provide appropriate pipe supports, brackets, anchors and seismic restraints where required * Provide identification signage and markings for the FDC. 4. Piping Modification * Modify and reroute the existing fire protection piping from the existing connection point to the new FDC location. * Ensure all pipe sizes and fittings are compatible with the existing fire protection system and hydraulic requirements. * Use approved joining methods and fire-rated materials appropriate for the existing system. 5. Testing and Commissioning * Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing of the modified piping system in accordance with the applicable fire protection standards. *Perform flushing and functional testing the relocated FDC. * Verify that valves, check valves, caps, sw
