National Consultant for the CCM Coordinator Position

UNDP Vietnam is looking for a qualified National Consultant for the CCM Coordinator PositionThe Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) is a multi-lateral financing mechanism, financially contributed by member states, organizations, charity organizations, enterprises, etc with an aim to eliminate the 3 diseases of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. The Global Fund was established in 2001. As of December 2022, The Global Fund has raised 53 billion USD, as the world’s biggest funding source for response to the 3 diseases of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The Viet Nam Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) is a national committee of voluntary members that submits funding applications to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, oversees the grants on behalf of their country and ensures alignment with the national response. The CCM Secretariat supports the CCM in both the execution of its decisions and coordination of its activities. The roles and responsibilities of the CCM Secretariat are to assist the CCM to execute its core functions in the areas of Oversight, Engagement, Positioning and Operations.[1] [1] Definitions of the four core areas can be found here https://www.theglobalfund.org/en/country-coordinating-mechanism/evolution/.The CCM Secretariat is the operational arm of the CCM and provides the full range of administrative activities needed for the successful performance of a functional and eligible CCM. The CCM Coordinator leads a CCM Secretariat and is accountable to the CCM. The CCM Secretariat supports the CCM to effectively implement a national strategy that pursues the goal of ending the diseases as pandemics by 2030. The CCM Secretariat facilitates the work of the CCM by enabling an effective governance mechanism using highly proficient political and technical skills.
