Call for External Collaborator – to expand, validate and update the Child Labour Observatory, FUNDAMENTALS

ILO

Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The Child Labour Observatory (CLO) is an online platform, that responds to the requirement of the Durban Call to Action on the Elimination of CTHe hild Labour that the ILO “create and host a centralized information repository that collates relevant policies, plans, efforts and achievements of Member States in meeting their commitments to achieve SDG target 8.7.” The CLO was launched at the 6th Global Child Labour Conference in February, 2026. The Marrakech Global Child Labour Framework for Action requires the CLO to be expanded in order to track a number of additional indicators. The assignment is to conduct research to establish baseline information for these new indicators for 187 ILO Member States (data for most of the new indicators are available in the UN SDG Indicators Database), to validate the information with ILO member States and field offices, and to conduct the first annual update of the existing indicators. If you are interested, please express interest and follow the instructions attached to consult the detailed terms of reference and other relevant information in the ILO e-sourcing platform. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline. Thank you.
