BON1 Headgate Repair Pit

1. General. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT and is for informational/market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION, OR BID. This Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of industry so the government can make informed business decisions. Bonneville Dam possesses two separate powerhouses, one near the Oregon shore (powerhouse 1) and one near the Washington shore (powerhouse 2). This project is located at powerhouse 1 of Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Bonneville Dam powerhouse 1 is equipped with headgates which are utilized to control water flowing into the turbines of the Oregon side powerhouse. These large headgates require maintenance to maximize their usable life span. The headgate repair pit is intended to provide a self-contained location for maintaining the headgates of powerhouse 1. Due to age and poor condition, all headgate repair structures and equipment within the pit were previously removed.
