MK/SSIP II # 2.2.1 Republic of North Macedonia Second Social Services Improvement Project (SSIP II) IBRD Loan No. 96330-MK Project ID No. P180350 Consulting Services: Design, Delivery and Implementation of a Modular Training for Preschool Teachers on Early Reading and Numeracy Skills Development Expressions of Interest The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia (GOM) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) have signed a Loan Agreement for the implementation of the Second Social Services Improvement Project (SSIP II). The development objective of the SSIP II Project is to expand access to and improve the quality of Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services through investments in the social protection delivery system and quality improvement of services for children aged 3–6 years. The objective of this assignment is to design, deliver and support the implementation of a modular training program for app.1400 preschool teachers that promotes an evidence-based approach to early literacy and early numeracy, translates learning objectives into practical classroom activities, strengthens preschool teachers’ professional capacities, integrates play-based learning approaches, and supports practical implementation in preschool groups.
