REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) Republic of Moldova Education Quality Improvement Project (EQIP) Loan No. IBRD-95360 / Grant No. TF0C1762 Assignment Title: Consulting services for design and cost estimate documentation for rehabilitation, energy efficiency and modernization works at the following high schools: “Alecsandr Pukin” in Ungheni, “Olimp” in Sîngerei, “Mihai Eminescu” in Leova and “Mihai Eminescu” in Edine Reference No . MD-NORLD-552835-CS-QCBS The Ministry of Education and Research (MER) of the Republic of Moldova has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Education Quality Improvement Project (EQIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. Within the EQIP project, rehabilitation and modernization works will be implemented in selected high schools across the Republic of Moldova, which are expected to become examples of excellence in education quality and in the development of modern, safe, inclusive and energy-efficient learning environments. The National Office for Regional and Local Development (NORLD) is responsible for the implementation of educational infrastructure activities under the EQIP project. The consulting services (“the Services”) include the preparation of detailed design and cost estimate documentation for rehabilitation, energy efficiency and modernization works at the following institutions: “Alecsandr Pukin” High School, Ungheni; “Olimp” High School, Sîngerei; “Mihai Eminescu” High School, Leova; “Mihai Eminescu” High School, Edine. The Services include, among others: assessment of the existing technical condition of buildings and related infrastructure; preparation of detailed technical design documentation; preparation of cost estimate documentation; preparation of technical specifications; integration of energy efficiency solutions; preparation of all related documentation required for implementation of rehabilitation and modernization works
