The Government of the Republic of Cabo Verde has received from the International Development Association – IDA/ World Bank (hereafter named “World Bank”), a Credit (hereinafter called “Credit”) toward the costs of the Resilient Tourism and Blue Economy Development in Cabo Verde Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The objective of the Project is to increase diversity and resiliency in the tourism offering and SME participation in tourism-related value chains in targeted destinations. 2. The objective of this Consulting Service (“the Service”) aims to modernize the current system in line with global best practices and international standards. The consultant will work with IMar and relevant stakeholders to develop a phased and modernized statistical system for a comprehensive and integrated fisheries data management system that supports marine governance, food security, climate resilience, and economic diversification. This includes strengthening data collection and analysis across biological, catch, effort, technical, and socioeconomic dimensions, ensuring the system is fit for both national needs and international obligations. Based on this assessment, a new, modern digital operational tool for the Fisheries Statistical System should be proposed. 3.
