REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (CONSULTING SERVICES – FIRMS SELECTION) Country: KENYA Name of Project: NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT- NAVCDP Project ID 176758 Credit No.: 70640 Assignment Title: CONSULTING SERVICES FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ACCELERATION OF APICULTURE VALUE CHAIN Reference No .: KE-MOALF-560393-CS- CQS 1.0 The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. 2.0 The Consulting Services (“ the Services” ) include Consulting Services of a Business Accelerator for Apiculture Value Chain for NAVCDP. The estimated period of the assignment is twelve (12) calendar months from contract commencement date. 3.0 The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be found at the following website: www.kilimo.go.ke 4 .0 The State Department for Agriculture (“the client”) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: - 4.1 Core business and years in business: The firm shall be registered/incorporated as a consulting firm with core business in the field of livestock or closely related field for a period of a minimum of ten (10) years. 4.2 Relevant experience: The firm shall demonstrate as having successfully executed and completed at least two (2) assignments of similar nature, complexity and in a similar operating environment in the last eight (8) calendar years.
