Provincial and Local Roads Improvement Program - Phase 1

GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Country: Nepal Project: Provincial and Local Roads Improvement Program Sector: Transport Loan No./Credit No./TF No./Grant No. CREDIT NUMBER 7509-NP (CREDIT A), CREDIT NUMBER 7510-NP (CREDIT B) Project ID No. P171836 The Government of Nepal has received financing in the amount of US$ 100 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Provincial and Local Roads Improvement Program , and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will include the following components: Component 1: Enhancing efficiency and resilience of Provincial Roads; which includes Upgrading or rehabilitating provincial roads and bridges from existing fair-weather to all-weather standards, Component 2: Enhancing all-weather connectivity and access to Rural Municipalities; which provide critical connectivity to remote municipalities that are not yet connected to the national or provincial road network, Component 3: Institutional Strengthening and Capacity Development, Component 4: Improvement of complimentary infrastructure and services The road projects under component 1 and component 2 with cost estimate above 5 million USD will be procured through open international competitive procurement. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (September 2025) (Procurement Regulations) , and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations . After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
