The Corps of Engineers Louisville District is soliciting comments from the construction community addressing the potential use of Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) for a large-scale construction project (exceeding $35 million) for the following: Project scope: Construct a two-story laboratory and research facility utilizing conventional design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. Work will include a reinforced concrete floor slab, poured concrete foundation, structural steel frame, precast concrete exterior wall panels, flat membrane roof, fire protection systems, intrusion detection system, all necessary utilities, precise heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and humidity controls, isolation from building vibrations, and site improvements. This facility includes secure/non-secure laboratory space/administration space, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, RF Shielding, an elevator, raised-floors and mission support space. Local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective. Construct over 100 parking spaces.
