The Contracting Authority intends to purchase an initial six (6) vehicles following contract award, with the option to purchase additional vehicles during the contract period, up to a maximum aggregate quantity of twenty-four (24) vehicles over ten (10) years, subject to operational requirements, available funding and the terms of the Contract. Under DDP, the supplier of the fuel is responsible for delivery, which normally involves that company chartering a ship on the spot market. The Authority therefore requires an expert provider of vessel risk evaluation services to provide a vetting service. The estimated contract duration for this requirement is 5 years and will run from Februrary 2027 until February 2032.

Traffic Signals Framework

The Authority is exploring the establishment of a multi supplier framework agreement to support the delivery of traffic signal schemes across the North Yorkshire Council administrative area. The geographic scope will include urban, semi urban and rural locations, and suppliers may be required to deliver works at single or multiple sites concurrently. The framework is intended to support a range of traffic signal works varying in scale, value and complexity, from straightforward renewals and minor upgrades to more complex junction and networked signal schemes. The anticipated volume of works and final duration of any future framework have not yet been determined and will be informed by the outcome of this market engagement exercise. To reflect differing levels of complexity and risk, the Authority is considering structuring the framework using a complexity led lotting model, with further subdivision by delivery approach.
