RSSB is undertaking preliminary market engagement in relation to two proposed and interdependent research procurements, T1420 and T1421, concerning variability in freight vehicle braking-system components. The overall research programme is expected to include the identification of representative wagons, development of a static brake-testing plan, undertaking of static brake testing and detailed analysis of the resulting data. RSSB currently intends to procure the programme through two separate competitive tender exercises. The precise allocation of the phases and associated activities remains under consideration and may be informed by the responses received through this engagement. The purpose of the engagement is to: • understand supplier interest and capability across the proposed phases; • test whether the proposed procurement and delivery timescales are achievable; • understand how additional testing or information requirements arising during delivery should be managed; and • obtain feedback on data handover, communication, governance and coordination where different suppliers are appointed. RSSB has established the fundamental objectives and proposed technical scope of the research. This engagement is not intended to redesign the core requirement. TEC Partnership invites all suitably qualified companies to tender for boiler servicing and the issue of an annual safety certificate. This will be for gas powered appliances. The tender is for approximately 100 commercial appliances of various makes and power specifications. They are situated across various sites in North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire and East Riding. A full list of addresses can be found in Appendix 6 Document 1. Each boiler asset listed on every site requires a service to the standards requested by The Partnership, or better. An annual landlord gas safety certificate or OFTEC CD/11 form (as applicable) is expected to be issued for assets that meet the most recent statutory legislation in addition to a service report. The contract covers the provision of trained and skilled labour of the appropriate grade and trade for the different aspects of the work, in particular skilled operatives, and labour capable of carrying out all of the servicing, inspections, checks and testing, together with the ability to verify and diagnose fault conditions from the tests carried out and fully complete all certificates and record sheets for each installation.

The Authority also takes some fuel consignments under Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) conditions. Under DDP, the supplier of the fuel is responsible for delivery, which normally involves that company chartering a ship on the spot market. The Authority therefore requires an expert provider of vessel risk evaluation services to provide a vetting service. The estimated contract duration for this requirement is 5 years and will run from Februrary 2027 until February 2032.

The purpose of this procurement is to award a contract for supply of renewable (solar) energy via direct wire to AWE Burghfield (AWE(B)).
