The objective of this tender is to procure brand-new digitisation equipment and accompanying software (with licence) to support the high-quality, digital capture of a wide range of archival and heritage materials of varying size, thickness and weight in this Financial Year. We require a large format floor mounted image scanner (up to A0 size) with a mobile scanning bed. Among other features, it must be capable of manual access, integrated quality control, resolution up to 600PPI optical (however higher levels can be offered) and integrated software with OCR ability. The equipment required includes: • Overhead planetary scanner for fragile, rare, or bound documents like books and maps with a stand mounted camera system to capture images without any contact with the document. • The ability for the scanner to scan oversized documents, such as folios, plans, surveys, maps, atlases, books, illustrations, paintings, sketches and charts. • It should have the flexibility to allow for scanning of historic books that are unable to be fully opened due to their spine integrity and delicate condition. System Depth of Field - should be capable of scanning thick books and folded materials. Cradle/Stage/Platform requirements: • Adjustable bed frame or camera position with manual or automated control • Book cradle table for originals up to 645 mm x 860 mm (>A0) and self-aligning and height-adjustable (motorised) able to accommodate books up to 50 cm thick and weighing up to 50Kgs • Image Quality - Resolution from 300 PPI - 600PPI. Scans need to have even and uniform illumination - even at the image corners and edges. The Scanner requires controlled lighting within book curves to prevent loss of image details. • Conservation lighting - Modern, LED lighting concept (UV / IR and ozone free). Birmingham City Council (BCC) is inviting expressions of interest to support commissioners in developing a clearer understanding of the provider landscape. We are undertaking a soft market testing exercise to explore options for the potential procurement, redesign, and expansion of a Flexible Contracting Agreement (FCA) to deliver tuition services for children and young people. This exercise is purely exploratory and is intended to support Birmingham City Council in assessing the feasibility, scope, and approach for any future procurement. Participation is voluntary and will not influence your eligibility to participate in any subsequent procurement process. Tuition services are needed for children and young people who are in care, known to social workers, medically unfit to attend school, children without alternative provision and children with an Education Health Care Plan supported by the Home Bridging Team without a formal education placement. The cohort of children and young people are: • Children in care temporarily between a school/college place • Children in care who need to re-sit GCSE exams in November of Year 12 to secure their course entry at KS5 • Children in care newly arrived in the country and Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers while seeking a school or college place • Children and young people who are too unwell to attend school due to medical needs In addition to the cohorts outlined above, the new Birmingham Tuition FCA will also seek to include the following groups, which are currently commissioned through ad-hoc spot purchasing arrangements: • Children unable to access suitable alternative provision or 6th day provision • Children with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) supported by the Home Bridging Team without a formal education placement Closing date for submission of response - 28 June 2026

The scope of works/services will include a provision of a vessel and associated survey services, including loading and installation of protective measures such as rocks or concrete mattresses, for the purposes of protecting a subsea electricity cable. Interested suppliers must have the capability to provide such works/services in both nearshore and offshore UK and European waters. The intention is to award this contract to a single supplier for an initial term of 4 years with two options to extend to a total duration of 8 years. Detailed requirements will be specified in an individual work order under the contract. The contract is looking to provide works/services to the National Grid group and its JV partners. However, the key drivers are the current known exposures on IFA and NSL cables described below and the successful supplier will be expected to mobilise for these works/services in the spring 2027 (subject to licencing): • IFA between England and France: 2000m on NGV's IFA2000 offshore and 500m in a marine conservation zone, both in English waters will require protection by rocks. Water depth is up to 50m. • North Sea Link (NSL) between England and Norway: NSL cable requires 8m long extension to rock berm that was installed during construction. Water depth 90m.

To support the next phase of ARCs, NHSBT anticipates undertaking separate procurement processes for the following four elements: • Up to three clinical delivery partners, to act as Centres of Excellence and undertake the preservation and assessment interventions as part of a national service (Indicative contract value: £20m per partner) • Machine perfusion technology services (lung, liver, and kidney; normothermic and hypothermic) (Indicative contract value: £30m) • Transportable organ storage solutions (lung, liver, and kidney) (Indicative contract value: £5m) • Digital delivery partners to ensure UK organ offering is adapted and fully compliant with relevant standards, to support the delivery of the national ARCs model (Indicative contract value: £10m) Procurement will be phased and NHSBT are now starting engagement with suppliers who can meet requirements for this programme. This is defined as a combination of homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse and contact with the criminal justice system. People facing multiple disadvantage are at the sharp end of socio-economic and health inequalities. As part of Greater Manchester's Live Well commitment to tackling health inequality, we want to build on the existing Inclusion health service to reduce this inequality. GMCA are looking for providers to deliver three distinct services which will remove a range of different barriers for people experiencing MD to having their health needs met. Lot 1: Co-occurring Conditions Support- Delivery support to people experiencing Co-occurring conditions across GM, through clinical and non-clinical roles integrated within enhanced live well teams. Including providing specialist support to professionals and delivering share reflective practice spaces. Total estimated value over 3 years is £4,839,375.16 Lot 2: Primary Care Led Support- Deliver support in a primary care setting to people facing Multiple Disadvantage, in Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester. This PME relates only to Phases 2 and 3.
