Enhanced Care Unit

***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT ONLY*** NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of West Midlands Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Provider Collaborative (WMCPC) (https://toucanwestmids.nhs.uk/), for which Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) is the Lead Provider are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers for the provision of an Enhanced Care Unit. The service(s) must be located within the geography of the West Midlands. Contract Length is expected to be for a period of 3 years with the Commissioner having the option to extend the Contract for up to a further 2 years. The indicative annual contract value is expected to be £4,800,000. The contract awarded will be a ‘Lead Provider sub-contract’ for the purposes of fulfilling our responsibilities under our ‘Lead Provider contract’ with the Commissioner. Should the Lead Provider arrangements change during the term of the contract, relevant responsibilities will be transferred to an alternative organisation as appropriate. The General Condition 12 ‘Assignment and Sub-Contracting’ of the NHS Standard Contract, as per the obligations of the commissioner, will set out the terms and conditions under which the contract will be transferred or assigned to the relevant Lead Provider or relevant commissioning authority. This contract is for the provision of Gas Detection and Gas Controls Maintenance Services to Queen’s. The scope of this contract includes the following:- • Planned preventative maintenance. • Reactive maintenance and repairs under a 24 hour callout service. • End of life sensor cell replacement. • Sensor upgrading and replacement. • Supply, installation and commissioning of gas controls systems. The gas detection systems covered by this contract include those in boiler houses, kitchens and laboratories, in addition to gas controls and gas pressure proving systems. Throughout the campus, currently there are approximately 95 boiler house and kitchen gas detection systems, 274 lab gas detection systems, and we estimate approximately 1700 sensor cells will need to be replaced over the course of the contract. There are several different manufacturers in use including Oldham, Merlin S&S Northern, Crowcon, Flamefast and Analox.

This opportunity is for a provider of a Restorative Justice Service. This procurement is being jointly commissioned by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority ( SYMCA) and the Probation Service Yorkshire and the Humber (PSYatH) with South Yorkshire MCA taking the lead. Following the Mayoral election in May 2024, the Mayor took on the functions of the Police and Crime Commissioner. These functions include listening to the needs of communities, securing victim support services, setting the objectives for the police force, and holding the Chief Constable to account. The SYMCA is looking to commission a Restorative Justice Service, embracing the concept of: Bringing those harmed by crime, and those responsible for that harm, into communication with each other. This service can offer victims the opportunity to be heard, to ask questions of the offender, and to have their say in the resolution, including agreeing rehabilitative or reparative activity for the offender with the victim, following direct contact between them. It can provide a means of closure and enable the victim to move on. It has a proven, significant impact in supporting victims in achieving closure by allowing them to continue with their lives. Restorative Justice also provides an opportunity for offenders to face the consequences of their actions, recognise the impact that it has had upon others and where possible make amends. In this way, Restorative Justice has the potential to help rehabilitate offenders and enable them to stop / reduce offending. Restorative Justice can be used for any type of crime and at any stage of the criminal justice process including alongside a prison sentence.
