Geotechnical Works and and Associated Services
Forestry and Land Scotland
Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) require contractors to deliver geotechnical works and consultancy services across Scotland’s national forests and land. The Contractor will provide a combination of planned and emergency geotechnical works, acting as Principal Contractor and, where required, Principal Designer under CDM 2015. All works must comply with Design Manual for Roads & Bridges (DMRB), the Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW), British Standards, and Eurocodes. The scope includes: -Application of a range of rock and soil slope reinforcement techniques; -Rock removal and scaling; -Small scale tree felling and extraction; -Provision of specific plant (e.g. mobile barriers, off-road vehicles and nonroad engines); -Removal of vegetation and arboreal control to enable geotechnical works and inspections; -Installation of protection measures against rock and debris falls such as draped mesh, baseline, temporary or permanent catch fencing (and removal if required); -Provision of traffic management and other on-site communications as part of overall geotechnical works; -Provide emergency response to geotechnical incidents; -Chainsaw work as required; -Use of drones as required; -Design and Build (Principal Contractor/Principal Designer roles); -Supply accurate as built details and specifications and GPS coordinates of all installed infrastructure; and -Undertake and record geotechnical asset inspections including any necessary site preparation to enable inspections, e.g vegetation clearance, as well as carry out necessary maintenance and recording of inspections. In addition to physical geotechnical works, the Framework includes a comprehensive range of geoenvironmental, geotechnical, hydrogeological, scientific, and planning consultancy services to support FLS in the sustainable management of Scotland’s national forests and land. General Building Construction & Maintenance Framework
Cardiff Council
Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council intend to establish a collaborative multi‑lot General Building, Construction and Maintenance Framework to support planned works, reactive maintenance, specialist services, and statutory compliance across their estates. The Framework will comprise a range of lots covering general building, electrical, mechanical, roofing, external works, fire and security, and statutory compliance services, with emergency response sub‑lots linked to parent lots. The Framework will run for three years with an optional one‑year extension and has an estimated total value of £123,514,000.00. Call‑offs will utilise the NEC4 suite. This Competitive Flexible Procedure tender will be conducted in two phases: the Pre‑Selection Questionnaire (PSQ) stage and the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage. The Contracting Authority will invite the top ten (10) highest ranking suppliers per lot to the next stage who meet the conditions of participation. In the event of tied scores at the 10th position, all suppliers with the same score will be invited to the ITT stage. on, which will be issued when the procurement opportunity is published. During the ITT stage, suppliers will be evaluated on the basis of their quality, cost, and proposed community wellbeing benefits. Following evaluation, successful suppliers will be ranked according to their overall scores per lot. The Councils reserve the right, in accordance with the flexibility permitted under the Competitive Flexible Procedure, to refine, amend or further develop the procurement process and tender documentation following completion of the PSQ stage. Any such modifications—where applied—will be communicated transparently to all PSQ‑qualified suppliers and will apply equally to all participants. It is expected that Tenderers will be able to provide all Works that are in the Scope in- house. However, the Authority recognises that some niche elements of a Scope may need to be sub-contracted. Design Team for Energy Ventilation Projects
University Of Edinburgh
The University of Edinburgh will very shortly be publishing an Invitation to Tender (ITT) to invite competitive tenders to establish contracting arrangements with a single supplier for a Lead Consultant to lead a multi-disciplinary design team for improvement initiatives to ventilation installations across the University's building estate. The scope of services covered under this Contract will encompass principally MEP design, with wider multi-disciplinary design support, energy assessment, construction supervisory and post-handover services provided by the appointed Supplier. Specialist supplier/sub consultant design input may also be required where project solutions involve innovative/new to market products and systems. Quantity Surveying services may also be required to be provided by the supplier as an additional service to completion of Stage 4. Full requirements are detailed in the tender documents. It is the University’s intention to enter into a Contract for an indicative period of 4 years. However, the actual Contract Term will be tied to the individual project/site programmes as detailed in the ITT documents. The proposed form of contract shall be the NEC4 Professional Service Short Contract.
