Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) is a statutory waste disposal authority which, with its District Council partners, takes a lead in advocating and delivering recycling, waste prevention, and the safe and effective disposal of household waste for the residents of Merseyside and Halton - together, the Liverpool City Region (LCR). MWDA is seeking to engage an organisation who will be able to effectively manage external services and suppliers throughout all aspects of the campaign and display strong overall project management. MWDA runs public awareness and engagement campaigns through the Authority's Recycle Right and Zero Waste LCR brands. MWDA would like to run a campaign via Recycle Right in two phases - Phase 1 during July 2026 - October 2026, and Phase 2 during April 2027 - September 2027. Phase 1 of the campaign will require the successful organisation to animate a new Journey of Recycling video, with a focus on updating information featured within the most recent Journey of Recycling animation to factor in additional materials which can now be recycled via kerbside collections across LCR, following the implementation of Simpler Recycling legislation from UK government. A suite of social media assets will also need to be created for advertising purposes, with the aim to engage LCR residents and direct them to the new Journey of Recycling animation on the MRWA YouTube channel and/or Journey of Recycling pages on the Recycle Right website. Phase 1 will culminate with a one-month digital advertising campaign, which will launch from the start of Recycle Week (Monday 14th September) and will finish on Sunday 11th October 2026. The ads will be run through Google (Display Network and/or YouTube) and the Recycle Right Meta channels (Facebook and Instagram). A report providing insights on user engagement and demographics will be required upon completion of the campaign.
