This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform the market of NHS Thames Valley (TV) Integrated Care Board (ICB), (the Commissioner's), intention to commission the provision of NHS Termination of Pregnancy centres for patients presenting with medical complexity and/or significant co-morbidities requiring NHS treatment, in line with the specified requirements, in the capacity of the Regional Network Lead Provider (Hub). For the remainder of this document this will be referred to as the: Complex Termination of Pregnancy (CTOP) service. The Commissioner would like to understand the level of provider interest in delivering these services. The service specification can be found at https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/1834-Service-Specification-final.pdf Please also see the CTOP Service Model document hosted within the e-procurement system (Atamis) for a full description of the anticipated CTOP service across the South East. The Commissioner would also like to invite prospective providers to a Virtual Market Engagement Event at 10:00am on Wednesday 20th May 2026. The findings from this market engagement exercise will help inform commissioners of the current and future capacity and capability of the market. The information collected will be considered alongside other evidence to inform commissioners in deciding the commissioning approach. The procurement is divided into 8 lots (Lots 1 - 4 for Endodontics and Lots 5 - 8 for Prosthodontics) in the BOB ICB area & and Frimley ICB (East Berkshire) area. Endodontic treatment encompasses procedures that are designed to maintain the health of all or part of the dental pulp. As part of dentistry's main goal to maintain a healthy, natural dentition for the public, the aim of endodontic treatment is to preserve functional teeth without prejudice to the patient's health. The discipline of Prosthodontics comprises the reconstruction and replacement of teeth and associated soft and hard tissue defects or pathology using prostheses including intra-coronal restorations, occlusal splints, crowns, bridges and dentures, which may be fixed or removable and supported by teeth, soft tissues or dental implants. Prosthodontics plays a major role in oral health related quality of life, in particular in relation to oral comfort, speech, mastication, aesthetics and perception of well-being Specialist care is typically carried out alongside general dental care and maintenance of the dentition in a shared care arrangement with the referring practitioner, wherein the specialist would carry out agreed items of specialist care in liaison with, and with the agreement of, the referring dentist and the patient.
