EOI for Partnership Opportunity Canterbury Provincial Chambers Buildings
Infrastructure
Christchurch City Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from parties interested in a potential Opportunity relating to the restoration, activation, management, and long-term stewardship of the Canterbury Provincial Council Buildings (CPCB). This EOI is an exploratory, non-binding market engagement process. It is not a procurement process and will not result in the award of a contract at this stage. Its purpose is to inform the Council’s understanding of market interest, capability, potential partnership structures, and key commercial and delivery considerations prior to any decision on next steps. As one of New Zealand’s most significant heritage landmarks, the CPCB presents an opportunity to consider how heritage preservation, activation, public value, and long-term sustainability might be advanced through an appropriate future arrangement.
3-Waters Operations & Maintenance Contract
Gisborne District Council
Gisborne District Council owns and maintains a three waters infrastructure network in the district that supplies water, wastewater, and stormwater services to connected properties. The scope of work includes the operations and maintenance of Council’s drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks and the maintenance of selected facilities including the water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants. The scope includes a 365/24 response to network issues. Council intends to include $3 million of capital and renewal projects (within each full financial year) in the scope of work. The estimated value of the Contract is approximately $7.6 million per annum, including the $3 million of capital and renewal projects. An initial contract term of seven years with a right of renewal, subject to performance, of a further three years (maximum contract term ten years) is proposed. The Contract commences on the 1 July 2027. A generous mobilisation period has been allowed for in the tender programme. The annual contract value, opportunity to competitively tender for additional work from Council’s extensive capital programme, and the contract term make this an attractive proposition. 231 Stuart Street, Dunedin - Request for Proposal
Dunedin City Council
The Dunedin City Council (DCC) has agreed to list the property at 231 Stuart Street, Dunedin, for sale on the open market in a Request for Proposal process, and the public is now being invited to submit their proposals on possible uses for the property. We are asking for people to present their ideas on what they would like to do with the property, and are seeking a buyer that not only will restore and protect this heritage building, but one that will also create something that will benefit the city. Proposals should align with the values of the Council, and demonstrate the long-term and wider benefits to Dunedin. This could be financial, economic, or net positive social and community outcomes. Prospective purchasers will have to undertake due diligence, particularly given the classified heritage status of the property, and provide detailed plans on what the building will be used for, and how it will be brought up to standard so it can be safe for occupancy and the proposed use. This should include a business plan for the venture being proposed, an explanation as to how any remedial work will be funded, and proposed terms of sale (price, settlement, conditions etc). This is an exciting opportunity for prospective buyers and the community combined. To submit a Proposal - VISIT www.dunedin.govt.nz/231stuartstreet Note: Proposals not accepted electronically via GETS, see link above for full details on the submission process.
