The assignment includes the design of CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, lightning protection improvements, and associated network, power, cabling, and system integration requirements. The selected firm will be required to prepare detailed engineering designs, layouts, equipment schedules, technical specifications, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), cost estimates, and works-ready procurement documentation to support the implementation of the proposed electronic security and safety upgrades. A mandatory pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted to enable prospective bidders to familiarize themselves with the site conditions, existing infrastructure, and assignment requirements. Whakaata Māori, through its Tātai Whetū Transformation Programme, is seeking a qualified Vendor to design, supply, configure, commission and support a replacement broadcast infrastructure platform for its production and playout operations. The scope covers central broadcast signal routing across baseband SDI and IP media domains; production vision mixing with programme/preset and multiple mix/effects capability; video processing, frame synchronisation and cross/format conversion; embedded and discrete audio routing including MADI and Dante connectivity; IP media routing and control including SMPTE ST 2110 and NDI; multiviewer generation and display management; and centralised control covering operational panels, tie-line management and tally. The solution must support interoperability across SDI, SMPTE ST 2110, NDI, SRT, MADI and Dante workflows, with redundant control and power architecture, clear fault isolation and maintainable operation. Capacity for future expansion in signal count, formats, production resources and control endpoints is required, together with comprehensive commissioning, documentation, operational and technical training, and ongoing warranty and support. Physical installation and on-site cable pulling will be carried out in-house by Whakaata Māori; the Vendor is required to provide the technical documentation needed to support this work. Building, HVAC and electrical works are out of scope except where specifically identified and priced as an optional item. This is a vendor-agnostic procurement. Whakaata Māori is not seeking a specific product, platform or architecture, and quotations proposing single-frame, modular or distributed/software-defined approaches are all welcome, provided the proposed solution meets the stated requirements, capacities and outcomes set out in the RFQ. Block I is a more involved job around the canteen, involving demolition of the existing metal and membrane roofing and skylights, construction of new trusses at a revised pitch, installation of new Dimond Styleline Colorsteel Maxam roofing and TPO membrane roofing, along with a new two-way 60-minute fire-rated wall, relocation of the HVAC unit, and reinstated HardieGlaze ceiling linings. Both are compact, existing-building re-roof projects rather than new builds, with the timber and roofing trades doing the bulk of the work supported by minor mechanical, fire, and ceiling-lining work..
