This Request for Information (RFI) seeks information that will help Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (Ministry) determine its Requirements for the Determinations Technical Writers contract opportunity. This work is for the Determinations team within Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery at MBIE. This team provides end-to-end services for the management of Determinations under the Building Act 2004. Determinations are a quasi-judicial and tribunal function that provides a means of resolving disputes about whether particular matters comply with the Building Code or a Council’s exercise of certain powers of decision under the Building Act. Contract 921 - Balclutha and Owaka Three Waters Renewals Programme – Charlotte Street, Renfrew Street and Owaka

Clutha District Council

The Charlotte Street Water Main Renewal project: It will replace approximately 288 metres of ageing water main that is no longer fit for purpose. The renewal will improve network reliability, reduce the risk of failures and outages, and provide a more resilient water supply for the community. Renfrew Street Stormwater Main Extension: The Renfrew Street Stormwater Main Extension project involves the installation of approximately 187 m of new DN300 stormwater main along Renfrew Street, from the John Street intersection to approximately 20 Renfrew Street, to improve drainage capacity and reduce flooding risk. Owaka Sewer Network Renewal Project: Renewal of an existing wastewater pipeline within the Owaka Sports Grounds and along Cargill Street, including installation of a new sewer main, manholes, and reconnection of existing sewer services to improve network reliability and address known defects.

Pavement Marking 2026/2029

Matamata-Piako District Council

This Contract comprises the supply of all labour, materials, plant, equipment, traffic management, supervision, and associated resources necessary to undertake pavement marking works on roads and Council-owned facilities within the Matamata-Piako District. The works include, but are not limited to, the installation, maintenance, renewal, removal, and reinstatement of pavement markings and raised pavement markers, together with any associated activities required to complete the works in accordance with the Contract Documents, relevant New Zealand standards, and Council requirements. The Tender closes on Thursday 3 September at 4.00pm.

Out-of-Area - Waste Transportation and Disposal

Dunedin City Council

The DCC is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified operators with the capacity to transport and dispose of DCC waste on a long-term basis. Disposal options must be to an existing, appropriately consented, landfill or by other means acceptable to the DCC (Out-of-Area Option). DCC is seeking proposals because it wants to re-evaluate whether it is better to build a new landfill at Smooth Hill or use an Out-of-Area Option. Before making this decision, DCC wants accurate costs for the Out-of-Area Option. These costs will be compared against the cost of building a new landfill at Smooth Hill (either alone or in partnership with a commercial operator). The re-evaluation process will be completed through the 2027-2037 long-term plan (LTP) process. That process will involve and be subject to public consultation in the early part of 2027. A decision on building Smooth Hill vs an Out-of-Area Option is expected before 1 July 2027. If DCC decides on the Out-of-Area Option, the intention is also to select a preferred supplier from this RFP process by 1 July 2027.

RFP-Health NZ Northern Region Panel for Suppliers of GLAZING Projects and Maintenance Services

Health New Zealand – Northern Region (the Principal) is seeking to appoint a Panel of suitably qualified and experienced Suppliers of Glazing Projects and Maintenance Services for its Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, and Projects requirements. The Principal consists of: • Auckland – its hospital campuses and community facilities; • Counties Manukau – its hospital campuses and community facilities; • Northland – its hospital campuses and community facilities ; and • Waitematā – its hospital campuses and community facilities. The Principal owns and operates facilities associated with delivering health and disability services and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of these facilities. These hospital campuses and community facilities are operational 24/7, shutdowns of services (both utilities and clinical) need to be carefully planned and considered to minimise impacts on patients and staff. NOTE: The Principal is undertaking this procurement on behalf of all Health New Zealand’s Northen Region hospitals and their community facilities. A Supplier must successfully proceed through all procurement phases and subsequent contract negotiations to be a panel member. Only suppliers on the panels will be able to provide in-scope services to the Northern Region hospitals. Refer to the attached RFP documentation for further details

Naval Point - Stage 4 Boat Storage Yard Works

Stage 4 of the Naval Point Development Plan includes upgrades to a newly acquired parcel of land to develop a new boat storage area as a critical step in establishing new lease areas for the site. Council are seeking a suitable Contractor to complete boat yard storage and resurfacing works, which will facilitate the relocation of boats and enable the commencement of the next phase of the project.

IPTV Middleware Solution

Parliamentary Service desires to procure an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) middleware platform solution to be utilised within the Parliamentary Precinct (precinct). This will allow precinct to modernise the current Master Antenna Television and move away from a predominantly coaxial cable-based system to a centralised network-driven platform for running precinct’s displays. Currently being procured is Phase One of the solution rollout, with the potential to extend the contracted solution across precinct in subsequent phases. The key objective is to establish a standardised, centralised IPTV middleware solution for approximately 120 displays, enabling TV distribution, e-signage, wayfinding, emergency messaging and future precinct-wide scalability up to 500 displays. Phase One delivery consists of: - establishing the solution within the new Museum Street buildings; - supporting our Visitor Experience team to display tour schedules and visitor welcoming signage within the Executive Wing (the Beehive); and - displaying Select Committee Meeting Room schedules within Parliament House.

Speed limit reductions were implemented within the Queenstown Lakes District under the Speed Limit Bylaw 2019, with urban speed limits reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h from 2019. The study aims to evaluate the outcomes of these changes. The study will focus across the district within the urban area subject to the 40 km/h speed limit, over a 6 year period. The purpose of this study is to quantify the safety and operational impacts of the speed limit changes and assess whether the changes have contributed to improved road safety outcomes.
