The Council currently runs a process which aims, principally through testing, to identify candidates in the top 25% of the ability range as eligible for admission to Year 7 of any of the county’s grammar schools at age 11. Entry to the process is voluntary, with approximately 67% of the local cohort opting to take part, plus a significant number of external candidates. Provision is currently made for approximately 19,000 candidates. Summary of key areas of service delivery (please reference Specification for full details) •Production of generic test familiarisation materials - for annual use by schools and parents •Bespoke confidential test papers and multiple-choice answer sheets (which can be read accurately and quickly by consumer grade scanners) •Administration instructions •Printable, bar-coded, double-sided scannable answer sheets with pupil data Software (and related) requirements to include: - •Marking software (alongside a small quantity of printed marking manuals) •Standardisation software and printable standardisation tables •Support for the Council’s employees in the use of the materials and software through the cycle of the testing process. Gas Servicing and Planned Maintenance Heating Replacement Works 2026-2030

The Contract primarily involves Gas Servicing, Boiler Replacement Works though installation of new condensing combination boilers, controls and flues throughout tenant occupied properties within Glasgow. The works may also include replacement of existing heating pipework to existing properties. Specifically the services and works are envisaged to include; An annual gas service and reactive maintenance (including parts) to each property, also including the recording, testing and service to existing smoke, heat and CO detectors. At the date of inviting tenders, Glen Oaks Housing Association require the annual gas service and reactive maintenance to be provided to 1,345no properties; and Replacement of existing boilers with new condensing combination boilers, control and flues to approximately 100 properties during financial year 2026-2027, 218 properties during financial year 2027-2028, 218 properties during financial year 2028-2029 and 218 properties during financial year 2029-2030. The works may also include replacement of existing pipework to approximately 20% of properties during the Boiler Replacement Works programmes. The Contract duration is forty-two months from the commencement date of 1 October 2026 until 31 March 2030. Subject to satisfactory performance of the Contractor, which will be assessed through measurement of the Key Performance Indicator’s (Refer Tender Document 8) it is intended that the Contract will be further extended annually in twelve months increments up to a maximum of two further years and an overall maximum contract completion date of 31 March 2032. In addition to Gas Servicing, the Contract extension period may also include further boiler and pipework replacement works during financial years 2030-2031 and 2031-2032. However the number of properties that may require boiler and pipework replacement works between 1 April 2030 and 31 March 2032 has still to be determined by Glen Oak Housing Association at the date of inviting tenders.
DLSITT1102 - B22 Multiple InfraRed Mirror System for Diamond Light Source

Located on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. DLS allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level. To continue delivering the world-changing science that Diamond enables, the facility is being upgraded to Diamond-II, a co-ordinated programme of development that combines a major machine upgrade with new instruments and complementary improvements to optics, detectors, sample environment and delivery capabilities, and computing, as well as integrated and correlative methods. This will be transformative in speed and spatial resolution and will offer users streamlined access to enhanced instruments for life and physical sciences. Beamline B22 is the InfraRed (IR) beamline of Diamond that will utilize a dipole-quadrupole (DQ) magnet as synchrotron source in the new Diamond-II storage ring. The beamline operates 3 end stations, which provide IR and TeraHertz (THz) synchrotron radiation for microspectroscopy and nanospectroscopy experiments. The operational energy range of the beamline is 1 meV to 1 eV (i.e. wavelength range circa 1 m to 1 mm). The visible light from the Diamond-II source is also collected and used for optical alignment at B22. The scope of the contract is to design, manufacture and deliver an opto-mechanical multiple mirror system for the InfraRed (IR) beamline B22 of DLS to the performance specifications using a shared concept. The system will support 3 synchrotron IR mirrors (mirrors not part of this tender) designated as Mirror 2a, Mirror 2b and Mirror 2c (M2a, M2b and M2c). Each mirror will have motorised 3-point kinematic motion. The system will have an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) vacuum vessel, with support structures and fine adjustments for mechanical alignment. The procurement is structured into two Lots: Lot 1 (Adults) and Lot 2 (Young People). The services will deliver an integrated, whole-system, community-based model of prevention, treatment and recovery support, operating across diverse urban and rural geographies, including the Isles of Scilly. The overall aim is to reduce alcohol and drug-related harm, improve health and wellbeing, support recovery, and contribute to reductions in drug and alcohol-related deaths and wider inequalities. Lot 1 covers the provision of a comprehensive community drug and alcohol treatment system for adults (18+), including open access services, harm reduction, structured community treatment, criminal justice pathways, housing-related support, support for families and carers, specialist responses for people with complex needs, and recovery-oriented community provision. Lot 2 covers the provision of a specialist community drug and alcohol service for young people (under 18), including targeted prevention and early intervention, open access and Tier 2 support, structured community treatment (Tier 3), transitions to and from Tier 4 services, youth justice pathways, safeguarding responses, and planned transitions to adult services. Both Lots require county-wide delivery using flexible, accessible and peripatetic models, strong partnership working across statutory and voluntary sectors, and alignment with national and local policy and guidance, including NICE guidance, the National Drug Strategy and National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS) requirements. The services will operate year-round and are expected to deliver timely access, high-quality outcomes and continuous learning and improvement.
