The provision of an Adult Homecare, Day Sitting and Waking Night Sitting Service enabling individuals receiving care and support to lead a full life, maximising their independence, promoting health and wellbeing and supporting them to remain safe and comfortable in their own homes for as long as possible. The Service will have a strong emphasis on maintaining and developing abilities and skills. There will be a focus on the principles of Reablement, Enablement, maintaining, recovery and self-care, and on improving resilience to deal with potential health and social care needs in the future. Successful providers will be registered with the Care Quality Commission. Service allocation of care packages will be through a brokerage function with individual choice and control at the core of this process. Contracts will be awarded on a no guarantee of work basis and a cap of 20 providers is being applied. The top 20 scoring successful providers will be awarded a contract provided they meet the quality threshold and where there is a tie at 20th place, additional contracts may be awarded to those in tied 20th place. Mundy Playing Fields - Package 1: Sewage Treatment Plant & Potable Water Supply

The procurement is for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a new potable water supply and on-site sewage treatment system to serve the pavilion and associated facilities at Mundy Playing Fields, Thornbury. The works include approximately 380-400 metres of new 63mm potable water main from Kington Lane to the pavilion, including excavation, pipework, valves and fittings, pressure testing, chlorination, certification, liaison with Bristol Water and full reinstatement. The procurement also includes a minimum 40 population equivalent packaged sewage treatment plant, foul drainage connections, inspection chambers, control and alarm systems, percolation testing, drainage field design and installation, environmental permitting support, decommissioning of the existing cess pit, commissioning and handover documentation. The services and works must be supplied as a complete contractor-designed and contractor-delivered package by a suitably competent supplier with experience in potable water infrastructure, sewage treatment plant installation and public-realm groundworks. The contractor will be required to provide all labour, plant, materials, supervision, design calculations, method statements, testing, certification, waste disposal and reinstatement necessary to deliver a fully operational and compliant installation. Works must be coordinated with Thornbury Town Council, Bristol Water and any relevant regulators, and carried out in a way that maintains public safety, minimises disruption to park users and football activities, protects the playing surfaces, and complies with all applicable health and safety, water supply, environmental and building regulation requirements.

The proposed works will include the clearance/demolition of existing safety surfacing and Asphalt/Bitmac surfaces and a redundant safety barrier located along the road. The main element of this contract will be for the supply and installation of eight number (approx.) new pieces of play equipment and associated wetpour safety surfacing in addition to the undertaking of numerous civil engineering works such as, earthworks, fencing, bespoke steel railing (incl. three sets of gates) mounted on proposed in-situ concrete retaining wall/plinth, drainage and water attenuation feature, paving/Bitmac/Asphalt resurfacing, steel mesh fencing, landscaping (incl. specimen tree planting) and associated street furniture and signage. The CVRAS (Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme) supports the reduction of air pollutant emissions from older and more polluting diesel vehicles during the transition to a zero-emission fleet. The scheme was launched in 2017 and funded by Government to accredit retrofit technologies that could reduce levels of nitrogen oxides (NOX) emissions from buses to close to Euro VI levels. The Department for Transport has a requirement for an outsourced service to provide an accreditation scheme. This comprises monitoring performance of the CVRAS bus fleet, improving compliance including telematics reporting, engaging bus operators and Local Authorities on bus fleet maintenance and supporting accurate functioning of Clean Air Zone charging.

Social Mobility Commission - State of the Nation 2027

Social Mobility Commission

The Social Mobility Commission (SMC) monitors progress towards improving social mobility in the UK and promotes social mobility in England. It is an independent statutory body. Its annual State of the Nation report is the Commission's main publication on UK-wide progress on social mobility and is laid before Parliament. The Commission is seeking a supplier to provide analytical support, methodological development, statistical quality assurance and interpretation for the 2027 State of the Nation report (with possible extension for the 2028 report). The supplier will work closely with the SMC secretariat. The emphasis of this contract is on robust analysis, reproducibility, interpretation and selected methodological improvements, rather than routine production work where SMC already has established in-house code. The Social Mobility Index provides the framework for State of the Nation. It includes mobility outcomes, intermediate outcomes and drivers of social mobility. Despite increasing demand for poultry products, the sector continues to face challenges including limited access to finance, weak business management practices, inadequate investment readiness, and insufficient access to quality production inputs and market infrastructure. To address these challenges, UNCDF, under the “Leveraging Public and Private Sector Investments in Sustainable Food (Poultry) Value Chains (JSDG)” project, seeks to strengthen the capacity of MSMEs and cooperatives operating in the poultry sector in Oromia Region. The initiative aims to improve the investment readiness of selected enterprises through the development of high-quality, bankable business plans that will enhance their ability to access financing from financial institutions and attract investment for sustainable growth. Scope of Work The service provider will support 20 selected MSMEs and cooperatives in the poultry sector located in the Jimma and West Arsi zones of Oromia Region to develop comprehensive and bankable business plans.
