A contract for provision of an Individual Placement and Support Services (IPS) for Residents who Access Drug and Alcohol Services in the City of Sunderland Council Area. The Sunderland IPS Scheme will be available to individuals of working age (16+), resident in the Sunderland area, who are engaged in structured treatment for drug and/or alcohol issues and are out of work. The 'structured treatment' can be provided by either a young person's community-based specialist substance use service; an adult's community-based specialist substance use service; or an 'all age' community-based specialist substance use service, (hereafter these services will be collectively referred to as 'specialist community drug and alcohol treatment services). The Scheme will provide bespoke 'packages' of support to assist service users into sustainable, paid employment.
Constructing West Midlands - Hard Facilities Management Framework
ACIVICO (DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT) LIMITED
Acivico's Constructing West Midlands team are procuring a Framework (CWM FM) for all types of Hard Facilities Management Works and Services. CWM FM will deliver Compliance Programmes, Planned Periodic Maintenance (PPM), Routine Responsive Maintenance (RRM) and Minor Maintenance Works (MMW) to a range of public sector clients primarily across the Greater West Midlands region. The scope of works and services will include all Building and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) maintenance and repair requirements, including individual reactive Minor Works projects up to approximately £500,000 in value. This will include the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor roles relating to the works under management. Contractors are invited to participate in a market engagement process with CWM by completing an early market engagement questionnaire. The information provided by suppliers will be used to help inform the framework design and procurement strategy. CWM reserve the right to hold further market engagement with selected respondents, which may include in person or online events at CWMs discretion. This Framework is being established to be particularly suitable for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Contractors interested in participating in the procurement process are advised that they must have experience of undertaking Principal Designer or Principal Contractor roles either directly or through their supply partners in order to meet the conditions of participation. It is intended that CWM FM will be a closed framework agreement and that it will be tendered in Lots, with multiple suppliers per Lot. Background Network Rail owns, operates and maintains Great Britain’s railway infrastructure, including track, signalling, electrification systems, bridges and stations. As one of the largest electricity consumers in the UK, Network Rail uses approximately 4.5 TWh per annum (c.4.1 TWh traction and 0.45 TWh non-traction). In support of the UK Government’s Net Zero by 2050 commitment, Network Rail is seeking to transition its electricity supply towards renewable sources. Scope of Opportunity Network Rail’s electrified network includes: • 25 kV AC overhead line systems • 750 V DC third rail systems (Southern Region and Merseyrail) This procurement relates exclusively to the 750 V DC third rail network. The Southern Region DC traction power system comprises: • ~40 grid connection points supplied by Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) • A 33 kV (predominantly) three-phase distribution network, with limited 11 kV sections • Around 300 substations with transformer rectifier units converting AC to 750 V DC • A highly variable load profile driven by train operations • Network control via SCADA systems from electrical control rooms Opportunity Description Network Rail is exploring opportunities to integrate renewable energy generation “behind the meter”, directly connected to its 33 kV distribution network to supplement existing DNO supplies.
