The works comprise the complete refurbishment of the existing communal boiler plantroom and associated heating infrastructure at Colley House. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, plant, equipment, supervision, temporary works, testing, commissioning, certification, documentation, builder's works and resident liaison services necessary to deliver a fully operational heating and hot water system. The works include: • Replacement of the existing boiler plant. • Replacement of associated mechanical and electrical services. • New gas infrastructure and gas safety systems. • New Trend BMS controls. • New plantroom ventilation system. • New water treatment and pressurisation equipment. • Replacement of 84 Heat Interface Units (HIUs) within occupied dwellings. • Removal of redundant equipment and associated builders' works. • Issuing temporary 3kw fan / Oil heaters to residents and Lease Holders if required or total emergency loss of plantroom equipment. All works shall comply with current Building Regulations, British Standards, Gas Safety Regulations, CIBSE Guidance, manufacturers' recommendations and all other statutory requirements. Cefas requires a plant growth chamber for the growth of microalgal cultures under controlled conditions. The chamber needs to provide consistent lighting and temperature throughout with several shelves to allow for high efficiency growth of cultures held in tissue culture flasks. The cultures need to be maintained for prolonged periods of time with growth conditions optimised towards maximum achievable cell growth rates and densities. A large internal capacity is required in order to maintain a high number of culture flasks of either the same or multiple species of marine microalgae and freshwater cyanobacteria. Options for gas or electrical lines into the unit are desirable but not essential. The unit will be expected to operate in a laboratory environment with external temperatures between 15-25 °C. As the primary use will be for the growth of marine microalgal cultures in seawater growth media, the unit will need to be able to operat

Collections and deliveries must take place simultaneously. SCOPE Wrexham County Borough Council estimate that there will be between 10 and 40 sets of PPE mechanics overalls plus 4 workshop mats, each week. The specific collection and delivery day and time will be agreed at contract award and must remain consistent each week for the duration of the contract. Collections and deliveries must take place Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 15:00. After the initial collection of soiled garments, all subsequent collections and deliveries must occur simultaneously during the same scheduled visit.
Golden Lane Estate Major Works Renewal - Crescent House Main Contractor

Ysgol Eirias, Colwyn Bay, Conwy has been extended and developed since initial construction c 1910. This has created a campus with four principal multi storey buildings on the site– A, B, C and E– with ancillary single storey modular buildings to the North of the School site, these are categorised as Block D. Part of Block A has been ‘mothballed’ in recent years pending refurbishment / re-development. The design of a replacement building for Block A is the subject of this tender, inclusive of any demolition requirements.
