Main Contractor for Swimming Pool Repairs and New Filtration at Bream Bay College

The scope of this project is to repair the swimming pool which is currently leaking and to install a new filtration system that is fit for purpose. We are open to options for this repair and replacement but believe the following will be required: Grinding – Removal of all existing pool paint, address and repair all the cracks on the floor and walls. (Full containment of grinding particulates will need to be addressed in the Health and Safety response by each tenderer) Scaffolding / Wrap / cover – If required (due to weather constraints) wrap thepool once grinding is complete. Demolition – Removal of old ring main filtration system and returns. Prep work on Pool – Grind out all cracks that are on the pool floor and wall surfaces, seal and epoxy and fibreglass over. Pool capping pathway cut back and re-concreted to the same height. Centre of the pool to be cut and remove the drainage. Steel cage to reset in the centre concrete. Pour and flash with top of pool floor. Polyethene DPM to floor with reinforcing mesh. Concrete and Plaster – Pool to be resurfaced with a 3 coat system. Final solid plaster coat to be applied right around the swimming pool for smooth finish for painting. Concrete floor to be 75-100mm thick, Plaster to be 40mm thick, Plaster will have a cure time of 21 days before first coat of primer. New Ring Filtration System – PVC pipe holes drilled every 500mm apart. 8mm threaded fittings drilled and taped. 8mm PU pipe extending through concrete. Reinforcement and trimmed once concrete is poured over and painted. Each side of the ring main separated by each pump, so 2 new pumps in pool shed. Paint – Prime surface and apply 3 coats of epoxy paint. Paint black lines on base of swimming pool. The outcome sought is a functioning school swimming pool with no leaking and a new fit for purpose filtration system that will future proof the pool for years to come. The Contract Works required are: The proposal is to remodel and install a new LSM Universal Bathroom to provide a fully accessible and functional bathroom facility. Works will include the installation of a new shower, toilet, hand basin and associated bathroom fittings and fixtures. Minor alterations and making good to the surrounding areas of the existing building will also be required to accommodate the new bathroom layout and services. The works will include minor asbestos removal where identified, with all removal and reinstatement works undertaken in accordance with relevant requirements and standards. Roofing Contractor Re-roofing of blocks A,C & F at Kapiti College

1.2 The Kapiti College BOT seek the services of a Roofing Contractor to undertake the re-roofing of Blocks A, C & F (all shown on Drawings supplied by Ruruku). The works involve the following scope • Install scaffold and edge protection as outlined in a SSSP • Remove old roof cladding, flashings, fixings and accessories in a planned stage manner to tie in with the laying of the new material • Install new cladding, fixings, flashings and accessories as indicted in the attached drawings. • Use trampolines and covers to ensure weathertightness throughput the reroofing process Requirements for phasing and/or staged handover of the project: this project does not require staging but work on one block at a time is preferable. The contractors will provide a construction programme with their tender submissions.
