Kotemaori School (Hawkes Bay) - Swimming Pool Upgrade and New Filtration System

RFT - Fire and Security Services Contractor for Site - Fire Alarm Remediation at Ōtaki School, Ōtaki, Kāpiti Coast

The buildings at Ōtaki School are currently reliant on an original Type 1 bell system and interfaced security system as its fire protection infrastructure. A new and comprehensive Type 4 system will be installed with a new main indicator panel, compliant exterior sounder coverage, lock down facility and direct fire service connection. The existing security system will have its smoke detectors isolated, disconnected and removed. The monitored security system will revert back to intruder detection only.
Main Contractor for Swimming Pool Repairs and New Filtration at Bream Bay College

The scope of this project is to repair the swimming pool which is currently leaking and to install a new filtration system that is fit for purpose. We are open to options for this repair and replacement but believe the following will be required: Grinding – Removal of all existing pool paint, address and repair all the cracks on the floor and walls. (Full containment of grinding particulates will need to be addressed in the Health and Safety response by each tenderer) Scaffolding / Wrap / cover – If required (due to weather constraints) wrap thepool once grinding is complete. Demolition – Removal of old ring main filtration system and returns. Prep work on Pool – Grind out all cracks that are on the pool floor and wall surfaces, seal and epoxy and fibreglass over. Pool capping pathway cut back and re-concreted to the same height. Centre of the pool to be cut and remove the drainage. Steel cage to reset in the centre concrete. Pour and flash with top of pool floor. Polyethene DPM to floor with reinforcing mesh. Concrete and Plaster – Pool to be resurfaced with a 3 coat system. Final solid plaster coat to be applied right around the swimming pool for smooth finish for painting. Concrete floor to be 75-100mm thick, Plaster to be 40mm thick, Plaster will have a cure time of 21 days before first coat of primer. New Ring Filtration System – PVC pipe holes drilled every 500mm apart. 8mm threaded fittings drilled and taped. 8mm PU pipe extending through concrete. Reinforcement and trimmed once concrete is poured over and painted. Each side of the ring main separated by each pump, so 2 new pumps in pool shed. Paint – Prime surface and apply 3 coats of epoxy paint. Paint black lines on base of swimming pool. The outcome sought is a functioning school swimming pool with no leaking and a new fit for purpose filtration system that will future proof the pool for years to come. Main Building Contractor for LSM Bathroom Modifications at Patea Area School

The Board of Trustees for Patea Area School, are seeking a suitably qualified Main Building Contractor to carry out the LSM Bathroom Modifications Works. The Contract Works required are: The proposal is to remodel and install a new LSM Universal Bathroom to provide a fully accessible and functional bathroom facility. Works will include the installation of a new shower, toilet, hand basin and associated bathroom fittings and fixtures. Minor alterations and making good to the surrounding areas of the existing building will also be required to accommodate the new bathroom layout and services. The works will include minor asbestos removal where identified, with all removal and reinstatement works undertaken in accordance with relevant requirements and standards. All tender documentation and necessary information attached. Contractors MUST visit site for tender to be compliant. Contact School Office to arrange a site visit. Refer to invite letter attached. Ideally dependent on MoE funding approval this work would start as soon as possible after confirmation provided, however this will be discussed with the successful contractor and school once funding approvals are confirmed. Roofing Contractor Re-roofing of blocks A,C & F at Kapiti College

1.2 The Kapiti College BOT seek the services of a Roofing Contractor to undertake the re-roofing of Blocks A, C & F (all shown on Drawings supplied by Ruruku). The works involve the following scope • Install scaffold and edge protection as outlined in a SSSP • Remove old roof cladding, flashings, fixings and accessories in a planned stage manner to tie in with the laying of the new material • Install new cladding, fixings, flashings and accessories as indicted in the attached drawings. • Use trampolines and covers to ensure weathertightness throughput the reroofing process Requirements for phasing and/or staged handover of the project: this project does not require staging but work on one block at a time is preferable. The contractors will provide a construction programme with their tender submissions. Project consultants are: • Project Manager: Ian Rattray – Ruruku Lead Designer: Krish Rudra - Ruruku 1.3 The Contractor will be engaged through a Medium Works Contract (Construction contracts for professional services and works). • Timeframes are: • Start date: October 2026 • Due Date for Completion: January 2027 • The program is negotiable with a preferred supplier if their price is right. • The project will be a complete turnkey project where the completed section of the building ready for school use will be handed over on completion.

Lead Designer for BLOCK 4 REPLACEMENT at Horeke School

This procurement forms part of the Block 4 Replacement Project at Horeke School. The existing Block 4 multipurpose room was originally constructed as a storage garage and later converted for educational use. The building is not considered fit for purpose and does not meet current Ministry of Education design standards for teaching and learning environments. Due to the building's limitations, refurbishment is not considered a viable option and replacement of the building has been identified as the preferred solution. The outcome sought is the engagement of a suitably qualified design consultant team to undertake all investigations, design development, consultant coordination and consent activities required to support the replacement of Block 4 with an OMB or Ministry of Education Repeatable Design building. The design phase will provide sufficient information to support future construction funding applications through the Ministry's B26 funding process. • Project briefing and stakeholder engagement. • Site investigations and consultant coordination. • Concept and developed design. • Engineering coordination. • Fire alarm design. • Building consent documentation. • Cost planning support. • Preparation of documentation required to support future Ministry construction funding applications. This procurement relates to the design phase only. The successful consultant will be required to progressively deliver project milestones, including investigations, concept design, developed design, statutory approvals and documentation suitable for future funding applications and construction procurement. Construction is not included within this procurement and will be subject to a separate funding approval and procurement process.

This RFT is for a main contractor only. Tenders for separate portions of the works will not be considered in any instance. The Contract Works comprise the refurbishment and upgrade of existing teaching and specialist facilities at Whangaroa College (Blocks A, C, I, K and L) and include: replacement of localised wall and ceiling linings and wall coverings in Blocks A, C, L, K and I; installation of classroom acoustic ceilings in Blocks L and I; replacement of floor coverings in Blocks A, L, I and K; replacement of external joinery to replace remaining timber joinery in Blocks A, C, L and I; internal alterations including installation of new mezzanine walls in Block A; electrical works including new lighting and upgrades to main distribution boards in Blocks A, C, L and I; replacement of mechanical services in Blocks C, L and I; replacement of plumbing works in Blocks L and I; roofing and weathertightness remediation works in Blocks A and I; and external works including replacement of concrete ramps for compliant cladding clearances in Block C. The Contract Works will be delivered in two stages, wholly within school holiday periods – Stage 1: October 2026 school holidays; Stage 2: December 2026/January 2027 Christmas holiday. The programme should reflect any additional works that fall within term time and consider operational requirements of the school. As per section 2.2.a.ii of the RFT. Additional rights for other projects of a lower value are included in this tender.
Motueka High School Block G Reroof

This project is for a main contractor working at Motueka High School undertaking the following works. The school building - Block G (Library) has roofing & Skylights that are failing and no soffit around the perimeter that is contributing to moisture issues around the window leaf’s. Outcome sought is to undertake the formation of new eves around the perimeter of the building as detailed in the provided drawing set. This project is a part of is the schools 5YA property funded upgrades. Requirements for phasing of the project will be confirmed with the successful tenderer in conjunction with the school to ensure minimum impact to the school learning spaces. The Library will be temporarily relocated during the works with the needing to be completed so the library is reopened for the start of the school year 2027.
