NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst intends to negotiate a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price contract with CIRCOR Pumps North America LLC (CAGE 59180) for the procurement of twelve (12) Recirculation Pumps, Part Number 3339/102-1, in support of the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) on CVN 80. Description of Requirement: Quantity 12 each – Recirculation Pump, P/N 3339/102-1. These pumps are source-controlled and form/fit/function critical components of the EMALS Motor Generator lubricating and cooling system. The drawing is proprietary to CIRCOR Pumps North America LLC. The pumps must be fully interchangeable with units already installed and qualified on prior Ford-class carriers. Statutory Authority: 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) / FAR 6.302-1 – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
