Background • The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience across the world. Objective • WFP Afghanistan seeks reputable and legally registered service providers for Provision of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) that includes pest control preventive measures for pest’s attacking food (e.g., rodents, insects, birds), spraying, fogging and corrective treatment process such as fumigation services at WFP Warehouses. • WFP Afghanistan invites eligible service providers to express their interest in providing the requested services. C. Service Requirement: • IPM services are required this includes but not limited to inspection and assessment of each warehouse, monitoring plan, and preventive measures for each type of pests. • Pest Control services are required in WFP warehouses where food commodities (e.g., cereals, pulses, edible oils, blended foods, sugar, etc.) are stored in bags, cartons, and tins and as well as non-Food items. • Fumigation services are required for food commodities (e.g. wheat flour, cereals, pulses, blended foods, etc.) packaged in bags, cartons, and tins, as well as warehouse storages. • Spraying and fogging services for pest control within warehouse premises and stores. This request for EoI is the initial step for the first stage for shortlisting.
