Gambling Research Services

Gambling Commission

In April 2025, the UK government introduced a statutory levy on gambling operators to provide 'independent and sustainable funding for gambling-related harms research, prevention and treatment'. A small portion of this funding has been allocated to the Gambling Commission so that it can procure research into gambling-related harms in line with its licensing objectives. Consequently, the Commission wishes to undertake some early market engagement to help it determine how best it might structure an invitation to tender for the provision of research services that will enable it to accelerate the process by which it can fill the evidence gaps that have been identified within the Evidence Roadmaps that the Commission's Research and Statistics Team have developed. About the Commission The Gambling Commission is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport. The Commission is responsible for issuing personal gambling licences for individuals and gambling operating licences for businesses operating in Great Britain and we are responsible for ensuring all licensing applications meet the following objectives: • preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime • ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way • protecting children and other vulnerable people from being harmed or exploited by gambling. Also, as an evidence-based regulator, the Commission provides evidence-informed advice to the government about gambling behaviour in Great Britain. About Research & Statistics The Research and Statistics Team is responsible for the management and delivery the Commission's Research activity via a range of contracts procured in line with public sector procurement regulations, policy and practice. Refurbish the outside of the studio building at the Holmes Chapel Community Centre

Holmes Chapel Parish Council

Holmes Chapel Parish Council owns the Holmes Chapel Community Centre and its daily operation is managed by Everybody Health & Leisure. The existing external cladding to the studio area of the Community Centre is deteriorating with flaking of the external coating and some signs of surface rusting in patches. Although there is currently no evidence of water ingress, the condition of the cladding is visually unsightly and remedial works are required to protect the building fabric over the longer term. The Parish Council is seeking quotations for the refurbishment of the external façade of the studio building. It is anticipated that only the sides of the building most significantly affected will require refurbishment rather than the entire building. Due to the building's close visual relationship with the neighbouring residential estate, the proposed solution should be sympathetic to the surrounding area and provide a positive visual enhancement to the locality. Due to the proximity of the building to the boundary, and neighbouring houses, we require proposals to identify the planned method of access to carry out the works. Should scaffolding be required, the Parish Council requests that this is identified and costed as a separate item within the quotation. 1. The supplier(s) should provide options and costings for a suitable solution to the above. 2. The supplier should detail the proposed solution in the response submitted. 3. The supplier will need to provide a method statement and risk assessment prior to any works being carried out. 4. The Holmes Chapel Community Centre is in use every day and the supplier will be expected to work with Everybody Health & Leisure (EH&L) and the parish council to agree all Health & Safety aspects to allow users to continue to use the centre. It is accepted that pedestrian movements may need to be temporarily altered or restricted during the work. 5. The quotations must include an indication of when the work could commence and how lon

Local Vaccination Outreach Programme - South West

NHS England

NHS England South West (the Commissioner) sought to secure Provider(s) with the capability and capacity to deliver Local Vaccination Outreach services in line with the specified requirements. The outreach services aim to identify and address disparities in the uptake of vaccinations throughout the life course. The service is intended to support mitigation of gaps in core commissioned services and to support responses to outbreaks where required. The outreach service was designed to provide a versatile response to identified need and to collaborate with existing vaccination providers within the geography to support addressing vaccination gaps and to complement, rather than duplicate, existing commissioned vaccination services. This includes the delivery of all age vaccinations and actively seeking individuals and population groups with low vaccine uptake and coverage who were less likely to access core vaccination services. The tailored outreach vaccination service is intended to run in parallel with an inclusive core delivery approach. Bidders were encouraged to explore opportunities for collaboration where this could deliver enhanced value and efficiency. Collaborative working is expected to help optimise resources, share expertise, and reduce duplication, benefiting service delivery and outcomes. Collaborative approaches could include consortium arrangements, subcontracting, or strategic partnerships leveraging complementary strengths. Bidders were required to clearly outline any proposed collaborative models within their submissions, demonstrating how accountability would be maintained and high quality services delivered. If bidders were successful in securing more than one Lot, they were expected to optimise the use of non delivery resources such as management, administration, and support functions. This approach was intended to minimise overheads, avoid unnecessary duplication, and ensure efficiencies were realised across all awarded Lots. This procurement cove
