Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Canterbury District invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors to submit tenders for roof flashing replacement and associated weathertightness works at Burwood Hospital, Christchurch. The works address known water ingress issues caused by defective roof flashings, service penetrations, and associated roof interfaces. The scope includes flashing replacement and upgrades, installation of dry pan flashings where required, localised roof repairs, roof surface preparation, application of protective coating systems, waterproof membrane installations, skylight repairs, and associated weathertightness remediation works. The works are to be undertaken across the following buildings: Building 1 – Ward HG (Spinal Unit) Building 6 – Physical Medicine Entrance and linkway between Buildings 6 and 4 Building 4 – Minor Surgery Unit Building 13 – Maintenance Office & Workshop (lower roof areas only) Building 9 – Ward GG (Surgical Services) Building 5 – Old Administration Building The project will be delivered under a Medium Works Contract and is based on a performance‑based specification. The Contractor is responsible for confirming the suitability and compatibility of proposed systems with existing roof conditions. The requirement to achieve a weathertight outcome applies to the areas of work undertaken under the Contract and does not extend to rectification of unrelated or latent defects beyond those reasonably identifiable at tender stage. All asbestos-related works are excluded and will be managed separately as an operational expenditure activity. The Champion Centre is excluded from the scope. Burwood Hospital will remain fully operational during the works. Tenderers must allow for all health and safety, infection control, access, staging, and operational constraints associated with working in a live hospital environment. Health NZ – Nelson Marlborough is undertaking a project to install cooling HVAC equipment throughout the Inpatients area of Wairau Hospital, primarily focused on cooling of patients’ rooms. The desired outcome is to: 1. improve patient and staff comfort during summer months; and 2. aid patient health outcomes The general scope of work of this project is for the following services: Design and Build - Design Electrical for Mechanical. - Design of seismic restraint systems. - Design of electrical and controls systems. - Produce design documentation necessary to complete the package of information required for Building Consent. - Respond to any Marlborough District Council (MDC) RFIs relating to the D&B building consent items. Supply and Installation - Procure all necessary materials to complete the project. - Install an HVAC solution that takes advantage of Wairau Hospital’s existing chilled water capacity on site: - supply and install a new chilled water pipeline - supply and install passive fire systems - supply and install new cassette type fan coil units - supply and install chilled water and condensate drain pipework - supply and install Electrical for Mechanical - supply and install seismic restraint systems - supply and install electrical and controls systems - mechanical and electrical commissioning. Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand invites tenders for refurbishment works within Buildings B4 and B9 at Hillmorton Hospital, Christchurch. The works are to be delivered in accordance with the Contract Documents and Performance Specification, with the objective of upgrading and renewing existing internal areas to achieve compliant, functional, and fit-for-purpose outcomes. The project will be undertaken within a live healthcare environment. The Contractor will be required to plan, programme, and stage the works to ensure continuity of operations and minimise disruption to hospital staff, patients, and ongoing activities. Tenderers must demonstrate appropriate experience, capability, and capacity to deliver works safely and effectively in an operational setting. A mandatory site visit will be held to enable tenderers to familiarise themselves with the site conditions, access constraints, and project requirements. Tenders will be evaluated using a weighted attribute model in accordance with the criteria set out in the Request for Tender documentation. All communications regarding this Request for Tender must be submitted via the GETS Question and Answer service. Submissions must be lodged electronically through the GETS eTenderbox by the specified closing time.
