Request for a 5-Star Hotel Services: ETEL Egypt Project Closing Event
ILO
Child labour remains a significant challenge affecting children’s rights, education, health, safety, and future opportunities. In Egypt, national efforts to address this issue are guided by the National Action Plan for Combating the Worst Forms of Child Labour and Supporting Families. Within this framework, the International Labour Organization (ILO), through its Cairo Office and with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), implemented the “Combating the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Small Industries and on the Streets by Supporting the Implementation of the National Action Plan in Egypt (Empowerment through Education and Learning – ETEL)” project. As the project comes to an end, the ILO Cairo Office will organize the ETEL Egypt Closing Ceremony to highlight key achievements, outcomes, lessons learned, and success stories; recognize the contributions of partners and beneficiaries; and reaffirm stakeholders’ commitment to sustaining progress towards the elimination of child labour in Egypt. The event will bring together representatives of the Government of Egypt, the ILO, AICS, employers’ and workers’ organizations, development partners, the private sector, civil society, the media, project beneficiaries, and their families. The event is scheduled on 20 or 21 September (To be confirmed) and is expected to host approximately 150 participants and will include high-level speeches, panel discussions, multimedia presentations, and interactive/experiential components. The event will be held in a UNDSS-approved 5-star hotel located in Cairo, Greater Cairo, or Giza. To facilitate the organization and implementation of the closing ceremony, a qualified hotel/service provider will be contracted to provide the venue, hospitality, logistical, and technical services required for the event.
