Central Utility Building Addition and Renovation Construction, UIP Subproject 1-CUB

FERMILAB - DOE CONTRACTOR

On October 6, 2026, Amendment No. 1 was issued to provide dates for site visits. This scope of work is to build an addition and renovate the Central Utility Building (CUB). The CUB supplies chilled water, hot water, low conductivity water, and makeup water to various lab buildings and systems. These systems serve both comfort cooling and heating needs, as well as process cooling and utility requirements. It is vital to Fermilab’s mission that CUB be revitalized and expanded, ensuring the ability to serve existing and future loads. The General contractor shall furnish all required supervision, labor, materials, tools, plant and appurtenances necessary to perform diligently and fully all work as described in the drawings and technical specifications. All work includes transportation, overhead, bonding costs, safety oversight, quality control oversight, and supervision as required to construct the project described in the drawings, technical specification and the detailed description contained herein. The critical schedule constraint for construction of this project is Fermilab’s accelerator shutdown, with an anticipated scheduled start on January 1, 2028, and anticipated end date of January 1, 2030- these dates may change depending on the needs of the Lab. The General Contractor must start their on-site efforts, and complete the construction scope under this contract, within the shutdown window. UT NP ARCH 100(2) Bridges on Delicate Arch Road

6982AF CENTRAL FEDERAL LANDS DIVISI

PROJECT NUMBER: UT NP ARCH 100(2) PROJECT NAME: Bridges on Delicate Arch Road PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Delicate Arch Road (DAR) is within Arches National Park (Park) and provides access to Delicate Arch. DAR is a functional class 1 roadway (Principal Park Road) and is heavily traveled by visitors and often congested during periods with moderate-to-high levels of visitation. DAR crosses three low-gradient ephemeral washes (Salt Valley Wash, Salt Wash, and Winter Camp Wash) near their confluence in the Salt Wash Basin downstream of Wolfe Ranch. Culverts installed during original road construction in the mid-1990s and during subsequent upgrades are inadequate to allow unobstructed stream flow and sediment transport downstream. This existing condition produces flooding and sediment deposition, which creates unsafe conditions for visitors, triggers road closures, potentially strands Park visitors, diminishes visitor experience of the Park, and generates high operational costs associated with traffic management, visitor safety, and cleanup operations. SCOPE OF THE WORK: This project will be designated as Reconstruction (4R) with one segment of restoration (3R), and will design and construct 100’ span concrete bridges at the Salt Valley Wash, Salt Wash, and Winter Camp Wash. The DA roadway profile at each Wash will be raised to accommodate a 10-year design frequency and allow a medium-sized excavator to access each wash. The DA will be realigned at the Salt Valley wash, moving the roadway and new bridge location to the north of the existing roadway and drainage crossing. The remaining 3R sections of the roadway will receive full depth reclamation (FDR) or removal of pavement, including all parking areas, followed by a 4-inch pavement overlay. PRINCIPAL WORK ITEMS: 20420-0000 Embankment Construction: 10,000 CUYD 25101-0300 Placed Riprap, Class 3: 1,725 CUYD 30202-2000 Roadway Aggregate, Method 2: 5,140 TON 40101-5600 Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Gyratory Mix, 1/2-Inch or 3/4-Inch
