This is a competitive procedure under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR). The competition is being run by Birmingham Solihull Procurement Collaborative on behalf of Birmingham Mental Health Learning Disability and Autism Provider Collaborative. Reach Out (RO) is the West Midland’s Adult Secure Provider Collaborative and provides the oversight and quality assurance for specialised mental health services across the region for medium and low secure adult inpatient services for mental illness, learning disabilities and autism, and specialist community forensic teams for mental illness. The aim is to commission 15 medium secure beds and 30 low secure beds, within the West Midlands region, preferably on a single site. These are expected to be a mixture of acute and rehab beds based on demand in keeping with patient’s best interests. The Expected service commencement date is 1st of April 2027 and the duration of this contract will be 3 years, plus 2 x 1 year extensions.
