IAF Kawakawa Water Treatment Plant Upgrade

We are seeking a main civil contractor to upgrade the Kawakawa Water Treatment Plant. The work covers a new treated water reservoir along with the civil, mechanical, electrical and control works that go with it. The upgrade will strengthen the resilience of the water supply and support planned housing growth, and it needs to be delivered on time, to specification and within budget. The successful main civil contractor will carry out the works on a live operational site without interrupting supply. As head contractor, it will engage Council's nominated tank subcontractor under NZS 3910 and hold single point responsibility for the whole package, including managing that subcontract and the other project interfaces.

Moehau Predator Control

The services required in the contract are for a supplier to undertake back country ground control predator trapping operations within the Moehau Ecological Area - Public Conservation Land. The Director-General has established 394 traps across 7 trap lines which are to be serviced the first two weeks of every calendar month (see clause 1.3 of the draft contract for further details) to control predator numbers between aerial baiting operations. Bait supply and preparation is included in the services required (see clause 2.3 for further details). Key Success indicators will be based on the execution of the agreed contract between the Director General and the Contractor. This will include but not limited to: • All 394 traps serviced in accordance with contract requirements. • Trap servicing completed within the first two weeks of each calendar month. • Accurate and timely monthly reporting provided. • No significant health and safety incidents. • Positive working relationships maintained with iwi partners, landowners and DOC staff. • Predator control targets achieved and maintained throughout the contract term.

Devonport Fire Station Weathertightness Improvements

We wish to engage a construction supplier to carry out weathertightness improvements at the Devonport Fire Station, located at 23 Lake Road, Devonport, Auckland. Weathertightness improvements will require a full replacement of the roof and cladding. The fire station will remain operational for the duration of the project works. The successful supplier will liaise with our Project Manager and brigade leadership team to ensure a mutually agreeable project plan is formulated and maintained, enabling the project to flow seamlessly while minimising the disturbance to brigade operations. RFT - Fire and Security Services Contractor for Site - Fire Alarm Remediation at Ōtaki School, Ōtaki, Kāpiti Coast

The buildings at Ōtaki School are currently reliant on an original Type 1 bell system and interfaced security system as its fire protection infrastructure. A new and comprehensive Type 4 system will be installed with a new main indicator panel, compliant exterior sounder coverage, lock down facility and direct fire service connection. The existing security system will have its smoke detectors isolated, disconnected and removed. The monitored security system will revert back to intruder detection only.

Main Contractor for Swimming Pool Repairs and New Filtration at Bream Bay College

The scope of this project is to repair the swimming pool which is currently leaking and to install a new filtration system that is fit for purpose. We are open to options for this repair and replacement but believe the following will be required: Grinding – Removal of all existing pool paint, address and repair all the cracks on the floor and walls. (Full containment of grinding particulates will need to be addressed in the Health and Safety response by each tenderer) Scaffolding / Wrap / cover – If required (due to weather constraints) wrap thepool once grinding is complete. Demolition – Removal of old ring main filtration system and returns. Prep work on Pool – Grind out all cracks that are on the pool floor and wall surfaces, seal and epoxy and fibreglass over. Pool capping pathway cut back and re-concreted to the same height. Centre of the pool to be cut and remove the drainage. Steel cage to reset in the centre concrete. Pour and flash with top of pool floor. Polyethene DPM to floor with reinforcing mesh. Concrete and Plaster – Pool to be resurfaced with a 3 coat system. Final solid plaster coat to be applied right around the swimming pool for smooth finish for painting. Concrete floor to be 75-100mm thick, Plaster to be 40mm thick, Plaster will have a cure time of 21 days before first coat of primer. New Ring Filtration System – PVC pipe holes drilled every 500mm apart. 8mm threaded fittings drilled and taped. 8mm PU pipe extending through concrete. Reinforcement and trimmed once concrete is poured over and painted. Each side of the ring main separated by each pump, so 2 new pumps in pool shed. Paint – Prime surface and apply 3 coats of epoxy paint. Paint black lines on base of swimming pool. The outcome sought is a functioning school swimming pool with no leaking and a new fit for purpose filtration system that will future proof the pool for years to come. Waimate West Water Supply Reticulation Renewal (Palmer Road)

South Taranaki District Council

The South Taranaki District Council (STDC), as part of its ongoing Road Rehabilitation Programme, proposes to renew a section of the water supply reticulation network at the intersection of Skeet Road and Palmer Road. The renewal is being undertaken in conjunction with planned intersection concrete pavement works, providing a practical and cost-effective opportunity to replace aging water infrastructure while avoiding future excavation and reinstatement costs. The works involve the decommissioning, or abandonment, of approximately 68m of existing DN200 asbestos cement (AC) water main located on Palmer Road at its intersection with Skeet Road, and the installation of a new DN250 HDPE PE100 SDR11 PN16 water main. The scope of works includes the supply and installation of all necessary valves, fittings and associated appurtenances required to integrate the new pipeline into the existing water supply network while maintaining continuity of service to customers. The new pipeline may be installed using open trenching or trenchless methods, such as Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), subject to site conditions, traffic management requirements, existing underground services, and approval by the Engineer. The works will include all excavation, drilling, pipe installation, network connections, testing, reinstatement, flushing, pressure testing, disinfection, and commissioning necessary to place the new water main into service. Additional deliverables include the full reinstatement of all disturbed areas outside the road rehabilitation footprint, together with the provision of as-built drawings, asset data, componentisation records, and supporting quality assurance documentation in accordance with Council requirements to support ongoing asset management and future maintenance.
