Totton & Eling Town Council previously operated the above 'award winning' facility for over twenty-five years. The Youth Centre then moved to its current location in a purpose designed building situated on Eling Recreation Ground. The current building has specific spaces for young people e.g. general area, music booth, Craft room, ball pit, physical activity area and tuck shop etc. The Centre was open at differing times each season but generally from 3pm to 7pm Tuesday to Friday (term-time). The Centre was staffed by a manager together with senior and assistant youth workers.

Ofgem is looking to procure the necessary Cost Assessment advisors for the Offshore Transmission Owners (OFTO) team to continue its regulatory duties. Provision of these services will be crucial and without this, Ofgem will be unable to run effective tender processes for the upcoming tender rounds. Ofgem are required to run a tender exercise for all offshore transmission projects that qualify under the Tender Regulations 2015. Provision of Cost Assessment consultancy support services will be crucial to ensure that a robust tender process takes place for upcoming tender rounds and without this, Ofgem will be unable to run an effective tender process. To facilitate a robust tender evaluation process, Ofgem requires the services of a supplier on various aspects of the tender and transaction process - evaluation of bidder submissions, and financial assessment required to bring the project to close/appoint an OFTO. Ofgem are required to undertake a cost assessment review of the OFTO assets for those projects that will be the subject of the tender process. This review is fundamental in determining the cost of building the transmission assets to ensure that those costs stated by the developer fairly reflect what will be transferred and that consumers are receive value for money. With this being the case, data submitted by the project developer must be carefully evaluated to ensure that assets are being transferred in the most economic and efficient manner possible. The Council wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified operators under concessions contract for the supply of services in respect of kerbside glass recycling service that is collected by Newark and Sherwood District Council recycling teams and brought to a waste transfer station. The Council wish to appoint one Service Provider to manage the sale/disposal of the recycling products it collects. This will cover the sale of sorted recycling material into the reprocessing markets. A Service Provider is required to provide haulage of the glass from the transfer station to their reprocessing facility for recycling. The services are; the collection and recycling of mixed glass (EWC 20 01 02) from Newark and Sherwood District Council Lorry Park, Great North Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire (Waste Transfer Station EPR/LP3222SD). Through the purchase of the glass the Council wish to establish a mutually beneficial financial arrangement with a Service Provider that will maximise revenue (income) for the Council. The Council estimate an annual tonnage of approximately 2,200 tonnes of separately collected glass containers (kerbside collections, including commercial glass and bring bank collections). This figure is for guidance only and no minimum level of tonnage is guaranteed for this contract. However, the Council shall guarantee exclusivity to all kerbside and bring bank glass collected by the Council. The Service Provider must hold appropriate licences, be compliant with all current or amended legislation as is necessary to carry and handle the waste. It is a further requirement that the re-processor shall carry the necessary licenses and operate in accordance with current or amended legislation. It is anticipated the contract start date to be 3rd August 2026. The contract shall be for an initial period of 2 years, with an option to extend for a further 2 years, subject to satisfactory performance. More details can be found in the Specification document.
