The project is intended to enhance overall site accessibility, support inclusive learning environments, and ensure compliance with current accessibility standards and Ministry of Education requirements. Suppliers are required to describe how their proposed approach will deliver economic benefits to New Zealand, including (but not limited to): Use of local labour for the delivery of the bathroom modification works. Engagement of New Zealand–based subcontractors and trades, including small and medium enterprises where appropriate. Supporting regional employment by sourcing workers from the local area where possible. Use of locally supplied materials where suitable and feasible. Suppliers should provide clear, practical examples of how they will demonstrate these benefits during contract delivery. All work to comply with manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations. This is a Measure & Value model Physical Works contract for Online section of the SH1 Cambridge to Piarere Expressway Project. The Cambridge to Piarere project is a 16km long extension of the Waikato expressway from Cambridge southwards towards Piarere. Online section of C2P comprises construction of the 6.4km ‘online’ section from the southern end of the Cambridge Southern Interchange through to the proposed grade-separated Karāpiro Interchange. The Contract Works generally comprise of: • 6.4 km of new four lane expressway south of the Cambridge Southern Interchange. • A full grade separated interchange located at Karāpiro Road. • Extending and re-aligning existing adjacent roads to run as parallel local roads approximately 5km on each side of the Expressway. • Provision of local road connections, and a new shared path. • Relocations of existing roads and construction of new service roads • Construction of two overpass bridges, two retaining walls and one major culvert. • Six stormwater soakage ponds and a wetland • Landscaping elements Only tenderers pre-qualified to Level 3A of the Bridge and Structure, Construction Level 4A and Surfacing Level 2A of the Highways and Network Operations (HNO) Prequalification System under the terms of the Transport Agency’s Prequalification System are eligible to submit a tender.
