The Central Plateau of New Zealand’s North Island is a major tourism destination for both domestic and international visitors attracted to its diverse landscapes including forests, mountains, lakes and rivers. Purpose of this RFP is to enhance the visitor experience at the Tongariro National Park Visitor Centre, with a focus on engaging visitors with the stories of Tongariro, to create positive impact. The objectives of this initiative are to: - Improve the visitor experience at the Tongariro National Park Visitor Centre, using foundational visitor experience principles. - More effectively engage visitors in the stories of Tongariro, so that they: better understand the significance and specialness of this place; know how to behave appropriately here; are inspired to take care of Tongariro, and other special places. - Use the Learning Outcomes Framework to effectively re-design the interpretive offer at the Visitor Centre. - Contribute to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing Project objectives and benefits.

Only eligible Health New Zealand-funded mental health and addiction service providers may submit a proposal. This procurement is being undertaken under Rule 11 of the Government Procurement Rules (Public Services). Due to the specialist workforce development, clinical training, supervision, and service integration requirements of psychology internships, participation is limited to existing Health New Zealand-funded mental health and addiction providers that can demonstrate established clinical service delivery environments, governance arrangements, supervision capability, cultural support, and sufficient clinical workstreams to support psychology internship placements from the commencement of the contract. Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking proposals to establish, implement, and coordinate up to four Psychology Intern Hub Services across Aotearoa New Zealand. The Intern Hub model is designed to strengthen the psychology workforce pipeline by increasing internship capacity within Health NZ-funded mental health and addiction services. Each Intern Hub will support the employment, supervision, coordination, and training of up to five psychology interns and will be led by a dedicated Coordinating Supervisor. The model is intended to provide high-quality clinical training experiences, strengthen supervision capacity, support intern wellbeing, improve cultural responsiveness, and contribute to equitable workforce development outcomes. The procurement supports national workforce priorities identified in He Ara Oranga, Kia Manawanui Aotearoa, and the Health New Zealand Mental Health and Addiction Workforce Plan, including increasing psychology internship capacity and supporting workforce growth across mental health and addiction services. Potential Additional Requirements: A project to refurbish and modernise student toilet facilities is currently being tendered at the same time as this procurement. The Contract Works required are: The proposal involves a range of accessibility upgrade works to improve safe and compliant movement throughout the school site for students, staff and visitors with mobility requirements. The proposed works include the upgrade and modification of existing landings, steps, ramps and accessible pathways at various locations across the school to provide improved access between buildings and external areas. Works include adjustments to gradients and levels, installation of compliant handrails and edge protection, resurfacing of pathways, replacement of deteriorated surfaces, and improvements to transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. The project is intended to enhance overall site accessibility, support inclusive learning environments, and ensure compliance with current accessibility standards and Ministry of Education requirements. Suppliers are required to describe how their proposed approach will deliver economic benefits to New Zealand, including (but not limited to): Use of local labour for the delivery of the bathroom modification works. Engagement of New Zealand–based subcontractors and trades, including small and medium enterprises where appropriate. Supporting regional employment by sourcing workers from the local area where possible. Use of locally supplied materials where suitable and feasible. Suppliers should provide clear, practical examples of how they will demonstrate these benefits during contract delivery. All work to comply with manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.
