Huka Falls Upgrade Stage 1

Department of Conservation

Huka Falls is one of the Department's most visited sites, attracting up to one million visitors annually. The current pathways, barriers, and signage are over 25 years old. They do not meet current standards and fail to provide an appropriate visitor experience, posing safety and reputation risks. This procurement is aimed at addressing visitor safety relating to the barriers. It will also improve their design to reduce maintenance costs and improve aesthetics. Approximately 360m of steel barriers require modification or replacement. An additional 60m section is required to protect visitors from an identified fall risk next to the car park.

Early Intervention Services (EIS) Panel - Tranche 2

Te Pou Taunaki Learning Support

The Ministry of Education established an Early Intervention Services (EIS) Panel to contract with private providers and Non-Governmental Organisations delivering Speech‑Language Therapy and Educational Psychology services in August this year. The EIS Panel provides support for children from birth through to the end of Year 1 of schooling with non-complex developmental, communication and behavioural needs. Expanding the Panel remains a priority to ensure sufficient market capacity and capability across New Zealand and will enable the Ministry to continue to reduce service waitlists and improve equitable access to early intervention services for children and whānau. This is a non‑value, non‑volume panel, and no minimum level of business or funding is guaranteed. All questions must be submitted via the GETS Q&A portal.

RFP Optical Tables

Simon Fraser University

The SFU Quantum Internet Systems Lab (QIS-Lab) led by Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) Prof. Thomas Jennewein requires highly stable optical tables that will house the optical setups on a very stable and vibration-stabilized platform. This includes four (4) optical tables, which are levitated on isolating cylinders with compressed air. These are required to prove a stable platform to implement photonic setups that often require interferometric stability. Basic Specifications Four optical tables with surface area of greater than 4.0 m^2, and thickness of around 0.3m. Acceptable dimensions are 1200 x 4000 x 305 mm^3, or 1500 x 3600 x 305 mm^3. Maximum length is 4200.00 mm Metric format (typically with M6 threaded mounting holes, 25mm spacing) Four active air isolation legs. Low vibration and stable for quantum optics, single-photon experiments, interferometry, and precision laser/optical alignment. High static rigidity and low dynamic compliance. Top Surface: Stainless steel, corrosion resistant, with matte/brushed low-reflectivity finish. Bottom surface: Steel or stainless-steel skin with construction selected to provide thermal symmetry between the top and bottom surfaces. Thermally symmetric / athermalized construction: Top and bottom structural skins should have matched or closely matched coefficients of thermal expansion to minimize table bowing during changes in laboratory temperature. This approach is used commercially specifically to reduce thermally induced bow. Surface flatness: ≤ ±0.10 mm over any 600 mm × 600 mm area, or better. Support system should accommodate the complete table mass plus at least 500 kg distributed experimental payload, with appropriate safety margin. Vendor must state maximum permissible distributed and concentrated loads. Construction and bonding processes should minimize residual mechanical and thermal stresses and avoid long-term warping or delamination. SFU’s budget is $189,342 CAD, inclusive of transport, installation, warr
