National Grid is seeking the provision of a groupwide Cost Intelligence digital solution. National Grid Group is planning to invest around £70 billion over the next five years to scale and strengthen its existing network, ensuring it can meet the needs of customers now and in the future. To support this, National Grid is seeking to establish a new groupwide cost intelligence capability that enables better access to supplier, project and market cost data across the business. A digital solution is required as part of this capability. The solution will focus on Supplier and Market Intelligence and is intended to provide estimating, procurement, commercial and finance users with access to comparable supplier cost data, project final account data and relevant market-based insight. The solution is expected to bring together supplier bid return data, project final account data and relevant market indices into a single digital tool environment. It should enable users to search, query, analyse and compare cost data across relevant dimensions, including asset archetypes, Cost Breakdown Structure items, activities, regions, suppliers and unit rates, where the underlying data structure allows. National Grid requires a user-centred digital capability that provides self-service dashboards, search, analytics and reporting tailored to different user groups. The solution may include AI-enabled analytics, natural language search or conversational query functionality to help users interrogate cost data, generate different types of benchmark insight and surface relevant intelligence more quickly. The solution will leverage a National Grid data lake or other approved data environment, with National Grid retaining ownership and control of its data. Project Background Following the sale of surplus land within the British Embassy Tokyo compound, FCDO is delivering a multi year phased refurbishment of the retained estate. The programme is designed to modernise the Embassy campus, address life expired infrastructure, improve security, sustainability and accessibility, and support the UK’s diplomatic objectives in Japan. The overall programme consists of three phases: • Phase 1 (Under Contract): Refurbishment and fit out of entrance and gatehouses, main office building, repurposed garages and FM suite (Block E), and seismic strengthening to retaining walls. • Phase 2 (Estimated contract value £15-20 million): Chancery Building extension and refurbishment. • Phase 3 (Estimated contract value £15-20 million): Ambassador’s Residence refurbishment, multi purpose facilities including plant, storage and parking, and site wide streetscape and landscaping (Block Z). This PME relates only to Phases 2 and 3. Scope of Future Phases Phase 2 – Chancery Building The anticipated scope includes: • Extension, remodelling and full refurbishment of the Chancery Building; • Replacement of mechanical and electrical systems; • Building fabric upgrades and internal fit out; • Accessibility and sustainability enhancements; • Associated landscaping works; • Contractor input to develop designs from RIBA Stage 3 through to RIBA Stage 4 (or Japanese equivalent), prior to construction. Phase 3 – Estate and Residential Works The anticipated scope includes: • Refurbishment of the Ambassador’s Residence; • Construction or refurbishment of a multi purpose building accommodating storage, plant and parking facilities; • Site wide streetscape improvements and landscaping; • Continued operation within a live diplomatic estate. The requirement is for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to deliver a fully comprehensive, compliant and resident-focused service covering planned servicing, statutory gas safety inspections, reactive repairs and 24/7 emergency response across Riverside’s commercial and communal gas assets. The scope includes annual servicing and Landlord Gas Safety Records, planned preventative maintenance, responsive and emergency repairs, system diagnostics, temporary heating provision, and asset condition reporting for a wide range of commercial plant and associated systems. The contract places a strong emphasis on safety, legislative compliance, performance management through KPIs, effective resident communication, robust ICT integration, and continuous service improvement, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of Riverside’s communal heating and commercial gas infrastructure.

Trent & Dove Housing is undertaking preliminary market engagement in advance of a proposed procurement for Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) services across its domestic housing portfolio. The proposed contract will support Trent & Dove's statutory and regulatory obligations relating to electrical safety compliance and contribute towards maintaining 100% electrical compliance across approximately 6,300 properties. The scope is expected to include: • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) within occupied and void domestic properties. • Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations in accordance with BS 7671, the Electricity at Work Regulations and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. • Identification, classification and reporting of defects, observations and compliance risks. • Associated remedial works, including completion of C1 and C2 defects and other agreed corrective works. • Provision of digital certification, photographic evidence, compliance records, asset data and management information compatible with Trent & Dove's compliance management systems. • Resident liaison, appointment management, access arrangements and customer communication to support service delivery within occupied homes. • Technical advice and support relating to electrical compliance, asset condition and future investment planning. The anticipated contract term is expected to be an initial three-year period with the option to extend for up to two further periods of twelve months. The purpose of this market engagement is to obtain supplier feedback regarding contract structure, delivery models, workforce competency requirements, quality assurance arrangements, resident engagement approaches, digital compliance solutions, sustainability initiatives and future regulatory developments affecting electrical compliance services.
