Digital Communication Capacity Building Session for Adolescents/Youth
UNFPA
UNFPA Nepal is soliciting this procurement to hire a consulting agency to deliver Capacity-Building Training on Digital Communication. The primary purpose of this consultancy is to empower adolescents and young people from local municipalities in the target provinces to strengthen their knowledge and skills in advocacy, digital communication, and social media literacy focused on SRHR, ASRH, CSE, and GBV prevention and responses, applying human rights-based and gender-transformative approaches. The consulting agency will support these youth champions in producing short, engaging videos in local languages on topics they identify as most relevant to their peers and communities. Content may address areas such as gender equality and social inclusion in everyday life, including challenging harmful gender norms, stereotypes, and discrimination based on caste, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status — alongside maternal health, family planning, safe abortion, menstrual health and dignity, the recognition, prevention of and response to GBV, core concepts of CSE, and the prevention and management of reproductive health morbidities. Content may also promote positive masculinity, the meaningful participation of adolescent girls and young women in public and digital life, and the visibility of voices and lived experiences from historically marginalised groups. The ultimate aim is to strengthen young people’s awareness of, and ability to claim, their rights to equality, dignity, bodily autonomy, and sexual and reproductive health — including their right to access accurate information, quality services, and protection from violence and discrimination, and to shape the digital narratives that affect their lives. UNFPA is using Quantum, an ERP platform based Oracle Cloud, which supports the United Nations procurement processes. Mid term evaluation of Safe Girls Project
UNFPA
UNFPA in Nepal is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms registered in Nepal to conduct the First Midterm Evaluation of Outcome-level Result Tracking for the “Safe and Enabling Environment for Adolescent Girls and Young Women” (SAFE-Girls) project. The project (2024-2027) ‘Safe and enabling environment for adolescent girls and young women’ (SAFE-Girls) targets harmful practices and gender-based violence experienced by adolescent girls and young women in three provinces of Nepal where levels of gender-based violence and harmful practices are high. It provides safe spaces for young women and adolescent girls to build support networks that promote knowledge and skills. Through learning, mentoring, and peer-based discussions in physical and digital spaces, girls are equipped with the social capital to make independent decisions about their lives, including their sexual and reproductive health and rights. Services that provide gender-based violence response and prevention will be strengthened in the target provinces, and comprehensive sexuality education will be enhanced both at the coordination level as well as in schools with improved materials and teaching methods. The project strengthens the individual and collective agency of young women and adolescent girls to target and respond to gender-based violence and harmful practices as well as increase their access to sexual and reproductive health and rights, including during humanitarian emergencies. The project has three outcomes: 1) The capabilities of adolescent girls and young women to act as change agents in society is increased 2) The support and prevention systems for survivors of gender-based violence are enhanced; and 3) The quality and reach of comprehensive sexuality education is strengthened. The midterm evaluation will focus on assessing progress toward these outcomes, with a particular emphasis on measuring contributions made during 2024-2025.
