DIAMOND LIGHT SOURCE LIMITED
Located on the Harwell Science & Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire, Diamond Light Source (DLS) is a leading-edge facility for science, engineering and innovation. DLS allows researchers from academia and industry to investigate the structure and behaviour of the world around us at the atomic and molecular level. To continue delivering the world-changing science that Diamond enables, the facility is being upgraded to Diamond-II, a co-ordinated programme of development that combines a major machine upgrade with new instruments and complementary improvements to optics, detectors, sample environment and delivery capabilities, and computing, as well as integrated and correlative methods. This will be transformative in speed and spatial resolution and will offer users streamlined access to enhanced instruments for life and physical sciences. The K04 beamline will be an ultra-high throughput Macromolecular Crystallography beamline optimised for the study of biological samples (fragment screening) to support the XChem facility in early-stage lead drug discovery. K04 will greatly increase DLS's capacity to carry out XChem experiments by up to 20x, accelerating drug discovery timelines and related research for both the academic community and industrial customers. The monochromator system shall include the VACCS cooling system (Vacuum Aspirated Cryo Cooling System) and three crystal sets. This full system will be developed in collaboration with engineers at DLS. The minimum scope of the contract is the design, manufacture, test, delivery, installation and commissioning of: • A horizontally deflecting, asymmetric cut, double crystal monochromator (DCM) • The crystal sets and interfaces with DLS-designed cooling system(s) • Vacuum system in line with DLS Vacuum requirements • Crystal support and manipulation system • Interfacing with beamline services. Health and Safety Executive
All the Contractor Services required will be focused at HSE's Science & Research Centre at Harpur Hill in Buxton, Derbyshire. HSE's Buxton site extends to 550 acres of land, located less than 3 miles from the centre of Buxton. The site is comprised of a 17,000m² laboratory building completed in 2004, which is operated under a PFI (Public Finance Initiative) Contract, and approximately 100 other buildings and scientific test facilities measuring 11,000m², in total, spread across 550 acres. HSE have a requirement to create a new gas incident investigation laboratory and evidence store within existing buildings 42 and 45. The buildings require various backlog maintenance works, including replacement of precast concrete lintels, roofing and associated fabric upgrades. Additionally, upgrades are required to the gas main to increase the incoming supply to allow for concurrent testing of appliances. Refurbishing Building 42 will allow Science Division to continue further research on current HSE research projects within a dedicated facility, freeing up space within their current location for other usage. Community X-Ray Service
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) notice of intention to award to the chosen provider. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The intention is to award a contract following the Most Suitable Provider Process. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023 do not apply to this award. The Service aims to support Torbay’s role in delivering neighbourhood health by enabling rapid community diagnostics as part of integrated neighbourhood pathways and the wider One Devon Falls and Frailty improvement approach. The Service will provide mobile x-ray acquisition and reporting, supporting radiographer deployment to suitable patients in the community, collaborating with relevant Trust and system services. This includes working with Torbay’s neighbourhood health arrangements (including integrated neighbourhood teams and the Harbour model where applicable) so that community diagnostics are consistently “wired into” falls and frailty pathways and contribute to admission avoidance, safe discharge and recovery at home. The service provider will be able to provide chest X rays for acute respiratory or cardiac concerns and pelvis and extremity imaging for fractures, foreign bodies, bone or joint pathology, soft tissue injury and suspected infection. Spine X rays are limited to known osteoporosis, while abdomen and skull imaging are excluded, and only appendicular poly trauma is in scope.

Project to Improve School Food Procurement Practices
DEPARTMENT FOR ENVIRONMENT, FOOD AND RURAL AFFAIRS
The Government seeks to improve public sector food procurement (PSFP). Subject to legal constraints, it aims for half of all public sector food to be locally produced or certified to higher environmental standards. The new National Procurement Policy Statement, published in February 2025, sets expectations for government contracts to favour products meeting higher environmental standards. This project supports these ambitions by improving school food procurement practices which will lead to enhanced food quality and sustainability, reduced food waste and primary and secondary pupils being better engaged with the food system. Schools account for approximately half of public sector food and catering expenditure and are therefore central to delivery of PSFP ambitions. This is particularly important given childhood obesity and persistent health inequalities. In England, about one in three children leave primary school overweight or obese;
