ACC’s Allied Health Services contract for physiotherapy, hand therapy and podiatry services under one umbrella contract acknowledges the need for consistency across allied health professions on quality standards, clinical governance and outcome measures to enhance client rehabilitation outcomes. We are looking for high quality suppliers to deliver physiotherapy, hand therapy and podiatry services. It is important that our Allied Health Services contract suppliers deliver the highest quality of treatment to restore a client’s health to best possible outcome. Suppliers must be able to support the delivery of clinically appropriate and culturally responsive services to our clients through: • providing accurate diagnosis and assessment of functional limitations; • providing timely and appropriate, evidence-based intervention; • application and assessment of orthoses; • education for self-management; • achievement of goals as agreed in the client’s assessment and treatment plan including return to work, function and/or independence.
Request for Application: Impairment Assessment Services

ACC is seeking medical practitioners to provide independent permanent impairment assessments for our clients. Clients who sustain permanent impairment resulting from a covered injury are entitled to an independent impairment assessment. This assessment determines whole person impairment, and entitlement for either a lump sum compensation, or an independence allowance. ACC must appoint and pay an appropriate impairment assessor in accordance with the Accident Compensation Act 2001. Applicants must have a current Annual Practicing Certificate with the Medical Council of New Zealand, and substantial post graduate experience in clinical practice. Vocational registration in Occupational Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry is preferred but other experienced medical practitioners may also apply. Training in the use of the American Medical Association Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 4th Edition (AMA4), and the ACC User Handbook to AMA4 will be provided to successful applicants. Sensitive Claims Residential Rehabilitation Service (SCRR)

ACC are seeking suitably qualified Suppliers to deliver Sensitive Claims Residential Rehabilitation services (SCRR). The Sensitive Claims Residential Rehabilitation Services (SCRR) contract enables ACC to purchase specialist residential rehabilitation care for Clients with sensitive claims. Clients are assisted to regain, acquire or use the skills necessary for the degree of mental, physical, social, and vocational function that will enable them to lead as normal a life as possible, Suppliers will be required to provide progress and completion reports for Clients. Scope of services include: • Accommodation Services that are secure, licensed, and meets the health and disability sector requirements. • Supervision which is secured to the level required and ensuring Client’s locations are known at all times. • Provision and monitoring of general medical care as required. • Provision of individual and group counselling, day programmes and community reintegration. • Provision of transportation to and from specified locations where required. • The provision of rehabilitation in a manner consistent with each client’s culture It is important to ACC that Respondents deliver high quality services to Clients. This is achieved by providing staff with the right level of training, at the right time, to deliver a service that provides the most appropriate service to help the Client meet the highest level of independence they can. Respondents must ensure that the therapy providers delivering assessment, individual counselling and groupwork counselling under SCRR will have experience and recognised expertise in the field of sexual trauma work. This is a unique opportunity to apply to become an ACC contracted Supplier of Sensitive Claims Residential Rehabilitation services that enable clients to achieve their maximum level of health and independence in daily living, and to ameliorate the effects of mental injury caused by sexual abuse or assault as defined in the AC Act. Residential Support Services

PLEASE NOTE – this Request for the Application is only for new applicants to apply to hold the Residential Support Services contract. Current Residential Support Services contract arrangements stand. Attached is the Request for Application (RFA) to apply for a Residential Support Services contract with ACC. Residential Support Services (RSSA) provides residential care for Clients who are unable to live independently in the community or are unable to live in their usual place of dwelling due to their covered physical injury including a Traumatic Brain Injury. The RSS Service is comprised of two key components: • Rehabilitation that maximises Client independence and prepares them for living in the community; and • Residential Care for when a Client is unable to live independently in the community. This may include: - Home for Life, - Respite Care, - Temporary Accommodation, (for example, until the Client’s housing modifications are complete or a suitable home is found), - Interim Care, (for example, for Clients who have been discharged from a District Health Board for a period of convalescence before returning to the District Health Board for ACC funded rehabilitation). The purpose of the Elective Surgery Service is to purchase timely, effective elective surgical procedures for eligible Clients who have a covered personal injury which requires surgical treatment to meet their rehabilitation outcomes. We are opening the Elective Surgery contract to enable applications to be made by eligible Elective Surgery Service Suppliers who can meet service needs. Our aim is to ensure that ACC continues to deliver an optimum level of services to Clients.
