The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Inclusive Schools Trust. The tender project is seeking to appoint a single Supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of catering service within the existing facilities for the 6 primary schools of the trust. The Trust would wish the successful Supplier to review the current range of services offered, as well as looking at the delivery of the current catering service and make recommendations accordingly. The contract being tendered is for three years in duration from 1st November 2026 to the 31st October 2029 with the option to extend for a further two years, the extensions with mutual agreement would only be for 1 year at a time and will operate as a guaranteed performance contract, with the successful Supplier offering the Trust a fixed ceiling price per annum for the provision of catering services. The Trust intends its’ schools to be open for 190 days, to achieve the 39 weeks of the teaching curriculum. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all catering services within the schools as well as hospitality and free issue requirements of the schools ad hoc. The client would like to see innovative delivery of emerging food trends that are seen on the high street and in retail outlets that pupils and their families frequent and therefore need to be reflected in the school dining rooms. The ITT documentation presents detailed specifications for each school against which bidders can present confident proposals. Free School Meals and hospitality will be charged based on evidenced consumption at a rate agreed yearly in line with government funding with associated sales and costs included within the pricing models. The successful Supplier will be expected to maximise the sourcing of fresh produce on a local basis, as well as provide support on educating the pupils in healthy eating and where food comes from. What the YCS does Established in September 2017 as a distinct part of HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), the Youth Custody Service (YCS) is responsible for the Children and Young People Secure Estate, for children and young people between 10-17 in England and Wales. This includes: • the commissioning and management of outsourced youth custody services and sites; • the operational running of public sector sites; and • placing children and young people who are remanded or sentenced to custody. The Children and Young People Secure Estate is currently made up of four Young Offender Institutions for boys aged 15-17, one Secure Training Centre, eight Secure Children’s Homes and one Secure School. The YCS is dedicated to working with a wide range of central and local government partners and other agencies to improve the life chances for young people, bringing children’s voices into service design and to learning from the latest research and best practice. Vision and priorities HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) protects the public and prevents victims by changing lives. We work with our partners to carry out the sentences given by the courts, either in custody or the community and reduce reoffending by rehabilitating people in our care. The ambitions of the YCS match those of the wider HMPPS, however, given the distinct and often complex needs of our young cohort, we interpret these principles specifically to the children and young people in our care. The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services across all eight of the (SAET) Severn Academies Educational Trust schools as well as two schools from The Rivers CofE Academy Trust who receive a delivered service from schools within SAET. This takes the total number of schools to ten (10) within this catering tender. The annual contract value is approximately £966,600 and the initial contract term will be three years, commencing 1 January 2027 and concluding 31 December 2029. The contract will operate on a guaranteed performance basis, offering a fixed annual return and/or subsidy. There will be an option to extend for a further term of three years by mutual agreement. The combined pupil population is approximately 3,664, with all schools located within a 10-mile radius of Kidderminster, providing a compact and operationally efficient geographical footprint. Severn Academies Educational Trust (SAET), is a sponsoring multi academy trust based in the Wyre Forest region of Worcestershire. The trust was formed in 2016 and currently consists of two high schools and six primary schools. The trust provides high quality educational experiences and care for just over 3,000 pupils aged 2-18. The schools maintain their own identity and are led by highly effective Headteachers who are supported by their local governing bodies. SAET schools work closely together to share resources, people and innovative practice.
