Marine Atlantic Inc. Invitation to Tender 317-174-026 / 262479.18 NSY Gulfspan Dock Water Line & Trench Cover Upgrades Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the NSY Gulfspan Dock Water Line & Trench Cover Upgrades Project. The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work. Remove and dispose of existing precast concrete trench covers, complete with all associated debris to designated waste management site. Remove and dispose of the existing watermain and associated pipe support systems to the limits indicated on the Drawings. Repair the existing trench structure by removing all loose, cracked, delaminated, deteriorated and spalled concrete to sound substrate. Installing supplementary reinforcement and dowels where required and reconstructing the trench to their original profile. Upon removal of trenches, the Owner’s Representative and Contractor will complete an investigation of the trench to identify additional concrete damage to be repaired. Contractor will provide provisional pricing per linear metre for each type of concrete repair shown on the contract drawings. Supply and install new watermain piping, fittings, appurtenances and supports to the limits indicated on the Drawings. Supply and install tracer wire for the new watermain in accordance with the project specifications and utility requirements. Supply and install new precast reinforced concrete trench covers complete with reinforcing steel, lifting inserts and embedded hardware. Clean the site upon completion of the Work and restore all disturbed areas to the satisfaction of the Owner.
